Team status
The Dynamo youth team is preparing for the match with Rubin Kazan in the status of the leader of the standings. The blue and white returned to the first line after leaving for Samara, where they met with the Wings of the Soviets Housing and Communal Services. The game was played in thirty-degree heat, which left its mark on the course of the match, especially in its first half.
The match started with an exchange of attacks. In the 2nd minute, the hostesses of the field inaccurately executed a penalty, and already on the 3rd, Ksenia Pilnikova struck the first shot at the goal of the Samaritan women. Soon, Krylia took the initiative and earned several standards, after one of which, in the 7th minute, Ruslana Sheshunova struck above the goal. In the 13th minute, Dana Dobrovitskaya gave a pass from the center, and Eva Rabchenyuk struck from the penalty area slightly above the crossbar.
By the 20th minute, the game had become tougher, referee Anna Tepaeva showed one yellow card to both teams. Kristina Kubatkina, who served as captain in this match in the absence of Daniella Petrova, received a warning from Dynamo.
Finally, on the 38th score was opened: Irina Dricheva executed an accurate cross from the left flank, and Rabchenyuk sent the ball into the net with her head. Closer to the break, the hosts created tension after the corner, but the Dynamo defense blocked a series of strikes. The trouble happened in the second minute added to the first half: Ekaterina Dianova served from the right flank, goalkeeper Diana Valieva awkwardly hit the ball with her palm on Alexandra Khramenkova's leg, and she equalized the score – 1:1.
During the break, the Dynamo coaching staff replaced the goalkeeper: Maria Leontieva came out instead of Valieva, who almost immediately made a mistake on the way out when giving a corner, but Kubatkina took the ball out of the goal ribbon.
And almost immediately the blue and white team came forward again: it was the fast Rabchenyuk who picked up the ball and burst into the penalty area, eventually forcing the Samara defenders to foul on themselves. Dana Dobrovitskaya approached the point and coolly punched the bottom right into the right corner — 2:1!
Daria Sorokina and Yana Nesterenko entered the field in the 63rd minute, replacing Ksenia Pilnikova and Mariana Stepanova. Dynamovki continued to attack: Rabchenyuk shot past from afar, and in the 76th minute she, along with Sorokina, participated in a double moment at the gates of the Wings. In the 80th minute, Alisa Klimova made an individual pass, the goalkeeper parried her blow, and the defender blocked the finishing of Sorokina.
In the end, the Samara team threw forces into the attack. The most realistic moment to reduce the gap occurred in the 87th minute, when two of the hostesses' footballers were preparing to strike, but Alina Gagieva knocked the ball out of the penalty area in a clean tackle.
The referee added quite a lot – six minutes, but the defense of the blue and white repulsed all attacks, and the final assault on the Wings did not work out.
— We are satisfied with the result, but not with the game. But this is absolutely normal, the team is developing, learning, so we will work on the mistakes and move on.
How well did the game plan work? In principle, in this game the beginning of the attack did not work out, we had problems with it. Here we must pay tribute to the Wings, they took us apart, it was obvious. In general, we must admit that we won today due to individual actions," Oleg Gusev, the head coach of Dynamo youth, commented on the results of the away meeting.
The defender of the blue and white Sofia Kolegova, whose defensive actions helped to keep the advantage in the last minutes, noted the mood of the Dynamo team:
— It was a very difficult game, in difficult weather conditions and on an unusual field for us. But we coped with it, proved by our character and our performance on the field that we deserve this victory.
The key segment of the match was the end of the meeting, when the Wings were pumping, but we held out and did not let the opponent score.
Thanks to the success achieved in difficult weather conditions in Samara, Dynamo not only continued its winning streak to four matches, but also regained first place in the standings, which Dynamo continues to share with Zenit St. Petersburg.
About the opponent, the history of the confrontation, the judging panel
The opponent of the blue and white in the 5th round is the youth team of the ZHFC "Rubin" – a strong average of the Youth League standings this season, although it's probably too early to say so after four rounds played.
Nevertheless, the Kazan club is exactly on the equator of the table – 7th place with 14 participants. Ilya Ulyanin's team, who has been leading the club since its inception in 2022, has 2 wins and 2 losses, and so far there are fewer goals scored than missed ones – 5-7. However, the most important thing, as always, is in the details: Kazanki lost at the start of the season to Zenit away and CSKA at home (both matches were 0:2), but they won against Spartak (3:2) and Krasnodar (2:1) away. Which, of course, hints that Rubin is not an easy team at all and it will definitely not be possible to cope with it effortlessly, especially on its field.
By the way, the team from the Volga shores was just as unyielding last season. Kazanki, although they took 9th place in division 1 of the Youth League (out of 11 teams), but they were quite able to rattle the nerves of their rivals. CSKA, Krasnodar, Spartak, Lokomotiv will confirm this – they won their matches with Rubin Kazan with minimal advantage.
And for the Moscow "Dynamo" matches with the Volga in 2025 were not so easy. If the blue and white did not experience much trouble on their own field, defeating the guests with a score of 3:0 (Varvara Demidova, Ekaterina Sergeeva and Maria Zernikova scored), then in the return game in Kazan everything was decided by Irina Dricheva's single goal, scored by her just before the break.
If we take the whole history of personal meetings, then there is an absolute advantage on the side of our team: 5 wins and only one defeat with a goal difference of 10-2. By the way, in all five matches in which the blue and white won, they did not concede a single goal.
The new official meeting within the framework of the Youth League will be served by the judging panel led by Victoria Garina from Khabarovsk, who will be assisted by assistant judges Anastasia Tisova (Moscow) and Lilia Valieva (Kazan).
Earlier, Garina had already worked on the Dynamo match in the Youth League – this season against JFC Yenisei (6:0).
The balance of Dynamo victories and defeats under the refereeing of Garina: 1 match – 1 win, goal difference 6-0.
