Team status
In the previous round, our team played an away match in Kazan against FC Rubin. Our team came to the game with significant changes in the lineup compared to the match a week earlier: Nadezhda Koltakova returned to the center of defense after being disqualified, for 21-year-old midfielder Angelina Golik, this match was the debut for the main squad, and with the captain's armband, the players were brought to the field by Maria Galai, who received the functions of captain instead of ill Yulia Bessolova.
Despite the starting activity of Rubin, dynamovki opened the account in the 14th minute. Anastasia Shlapakova, having received the ball from the out from Galai, executed an accurate feed into the penalty area, where Daniela Basaeva beat the Kazan defenders and sent the ball into the net with her head. Rubin, in turn, threatened the blue-white goal several times on the counterattack, in one of the episodes the team was even saved by the crossbar.
The match statistics reflect the active game of Zinoviev's team. In attack, Dynamo created six scoring chances, entering the top five teams of the tour in this indicator. The accuracy of the canopies was 38%, which was the second result in the league.
Blue and white showed good numbers in the fight for the ball: Dynamo players won 52% of single combats, ahead of Lokomotiv and Spartak in this component. About the opponent
The next opponent of the blue and white is FC Lokomotiv, one of the permanent medalists of the Super League, champion (2021) and three–time winner of the Cup of Russia.
Elena Fomina's wards began their winter preparations for the season with a victory at a friendly tournament in Sochi, where the Serbian Spartak, the Belarusian Dnipro and the capital CSKA were outplayed in a penalty shootout. At the training camp in Turkey, the railwaywomen did not lose once in five meetings. In four matches, they conceded first, but achieved final victories, including having won back the two-goal gap from Spartak.
However, these victories were not the main events in the life of the club at the start of this year. In the offseason, three specialists from the youth team, who won the league twice, joined Fomina's coaching staff, and pupils Polina Pavlova, Ksenia Dolgova and Anna Solovyova began to receive playing time. The main acquisitions were goalkeeper Margarita Shirokova, who played for Perm Zvezda-2005, and striker Andrea Grebenar, who scored in the spring for the Bosnian national team. Nelly Korovkina, who scored three times in Turkey, also gained form.
Unlike the victorious off-season, the start of the championship turned out to be uneven for the red-greens. In the first round, Lokomotiv played 2-2 at Sapsan Arena with Rubin, which brought ten newcomers, including ex-Muscovite Liana Yukhaeva. Earlier, Loko had won six major home victories over Kazanki, but now, with equal strikes of 13:13, the guests scored points for the first time.
The railwaywomen seemed to have won back for an offensive home draw in the second round – Samara "Wings of the Soviets" were defeated 5-0, only in the third round at the Khimki Arena the Muscovites lost to CSKA – 1:2.
And only after that, Elena Fomina's wards gained the long-awaited stability and issued a four-match series without conceded goals: in the fourth round, Loko beat Krasnodar (2:0), in the sixth round, after a four-week pause, Zvezda 2005 was beaten in Perm (also 2:0), in the seventh In the round, Loko beat Ryazan-VDV at home for the tenth time in a row (3:0), and Yenisei was outplayed at home in the eighth (3:0).
Such an impressive winning breakthrough, backed up by a super reliable defensive game, allowed Lokomotiv to climb to 4th place in the Super League standings. The team from Cherkizov, which lost only 5 points at the start of the season, is only three points behind the leading Zenit (19 points) and may take a swing at the championship leadership in the upcoming game with Dynamo.
However, it will not be so easy for railwaywomen to do this, given the statistics of personal meetings of clubs in the last year. So, Fomina's wards won their last victory over Dynamo in August 2024.
Since then, the teams have held four meetings with each other, none of which the red-greens could not win: one draw and three defeats, including in both matches in the 2025 Super League.
