Team status
Our team also played the previous match in Novogorsk – against Master Saturn near Moscow. The match began with a dense and viscous struggle for the initiative: in the first minutes there were many fouls and whistles of the chief referee of the meeting Nikolai Kichkin on the field. Already in the 7th minute, the guests carried out the first dangerous attack, but our defenders reliably stopped the attacking opponents. Soon the blue and white responded with their approaches: a long-range shot by midfielder Alisa Klimova in the 13th minute turned out to be inaccurate.
Closer to the 17th minute, our team gradually began to seize the initiative, but the opponents snapped dangerously. In the 19th minute, "Master Saturn" managed to send the ball into the net of the blue and white goal, but the referee fixed the offside, canceling the goal. A couple of minutes later, Arina Taranchenko had to seriously enter the game – our goalkeeper confidently dragged Anastasia Chernousova's tight shot.
At the 22nd minute, Dynamo's coaching staff had to make a forced replacement: Daria Sorokina appeared on the field instead of Klimova. She could immediately become the heroine of the episode, almost running away one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but the defender of the guests knocked the ball out of her legs at the last moment. By the middle of the half, the attacks of the Moscow Region team looked sharper, and the Dynamos lacked creativity. The end of the half was left to the guests: in the 36th minute Taranchenko saved the team by transferring a powerful long-range shot to the corner, and in the 44th minute she firmly took the ball after a direct free kick.
The second half began with a double substitution as part of Dynamo — Anastasia Chernikova and Dana Dobrovitskaya entered the game instead of Daria Guskova and Ksenia Pilnikova. Nevertheless, the start of the second half was again reserved for the guests, who continued to exert serious pressure on our goal.
And yet, in the 54th minute, the blue and white created a one hundred percent moment: after Sorokina's discount, Milena Lyubimova shot someone else's goal almost point blank, but Master Saturn goalkeeper Svetlana Zenkova made a brilliant save. After that, the guests tried to reorganize into counterattacks and long-range strikes, but the defenders and Taranchenko eliminated the threat.
Trying to add power in the attack, at the 72nd minute, the coaching staff released the team's top scorer Eva Rabchenyuk instead of captain Daniella Petrova. In the 80th minute, the Muscovites earned a corner kick and tried to surprise the opponent with a "dry sheet", but they failed to spin the ball directly into the net. Six minutes before the end of regular time, Kristina Kubatkina and Yana Nesterenko entered the game, replacing Ekaterina Sergeeva and Varvara Demidova.
In compensated time, the blue and white staged a final assault: in the 89th and 91st minutes Rabchenyuk dangerously hit someone else's goal, but both times Zenkova took the ball. In the 92nd minute, after the sharpest overhang, the goalkeeper of the guests hardly transferred the ball to the corner, and immediately after that the final whistle sounded. The result is a draw 0:0.
— The first half didn't work out, they came out uncharged, they didn't have enough character. The main problem of the first half was that there were a lot of losses, especially from the central midfielders. The ball was absolutely not controlled.
We wanted to play football: get the ball and move with it, go into the zones. But instead we switched to a vertical game, because of which we made a lot of losses, our attackers acted under pressure. During the break, the players in the locker room were charged to the maximum – a completely different football went. Finally, they began to hold the ball, take it between the lines, there were moments. But in general, 0:0 is a fair result," Alexander Zayakin, acting head coach of the Dynamo youth team, commented on the results of the match.
Blue and white midfielder Kristina Kubatkina also spoke after the match:
— I've played a lot of matches in the Youth League, I'm already coping with excitement, so I wasn't particularly nervous when I came on as a substitute in the second half. There is something to strive for. I am dissatisfied with the result: they could have taken three points, but instead they lost two.
The draw of the meeting with the Moscow Region team did not allow the blue and white to score the coveted three points and, accordingly, get closer to the top three. And ahead of our team is the hardest test — already in the next round Dynamo will have a home battle against one of the leaders of the championship and contenders for victory in the Youth League.
About the opponent, the history of the confrontation, the judging panel
The opponent of the blue and white in the 21st round – the youth team of FC Zenit – together with CSKA shares the first line of the Youth League standings. Young Petersburgers are inferior to the capital's club only in terms of additional indicators. However, there is a whole group of pursuers behind them: Lokomotiv, Spartak and Rubin are one, two and three points behind the leaders, respectively. Therefore, this leadership can only be called intermediate.
However, with the schedule with which the St. Petersburg club is approaching the meeting with Dynamo, there should not be so many doubts that it will continue to fight for the gold of the youth championship: in the last 11 matches played, the blue-white-blues only lost once and drew, but in the rest of the games they celebrated victory, including over the main competitor in the CSKA championship (2:1).
And considering that Zenit is showing the most reliable defensive game this season – only 13 goals conceded in 20 games – the chances of continuing a successful series are very high. However, just the meeting with the Moscow "Dynamo" was one of the most unsuccessful for the St. Petersburg football players. In the first round match, which took place in St. Petersburg, Muscovites twice upset the hostesses with the efforts of Irina Dricheva and Ekaterina Sergeeva and took away a well-deserved victory (2:0).
But the advantage in the history of personal meetings is still for the St. Petersburg team: 3 wins for Dynamo, 5 for Zenit. In principle, teams do not play a draw. The goal difference is 16-5 in favor of Zenit, and it is interesting that St. Petersburg football players win against Muscovites only with a "dry" score: 4:0, 1:0, 4:0, 2:0, 2:0. Perhaps a good antidote for dynamos will be to score quickly and open an account in the game with a rival from the banks of the Neva. But – remember about the Zenit defense!
And don't forget about the attack, although Zenit's is not so effective – this season Zenit's attack players scored 41 goals. This is less than that of CSKA, Lokomotiv, Spartak, Rubin, Dynamo and even Master Saturn. The top scorers of the blue-white-blue are striker Daria Kotlova (9 goals) and defender Anastasia Gnennaya (8), a good friend of the Dynamo team. Nastya played 14 matches for Dynamo, in which she scored 3 goals.
Another former Dynamo defender Sofia Kolegova has played only two matches for the Zenit youth team so far. But actively doing it for the Zenit team in the SFL-Girls under 18.
The new meeting of the two teams in the Youth League will be served by the referee team led by Elizaveta Gorbunova (Tver), who will be assisted by assistant referees Elena Shnyrova (Tyumen) and Anastasia Tisova (Moscow). Andrey Glot (Yaroslavl) was appointed match inspector.
Earlier, Gorbunova had already worked at Dynamo matches in the Youth League – against ZHFC Rubin (0:1).
