Team status
Maxim Zinoviev's team played the match of the 20th round of the Super League in St. Petersburg - against Zenit Housing and Communal Services.
The beginning of the meeting was held at a calm pace, at the start the rivals looked at each other. Soon, the Petersburgers earned the right to a free kick – after the draw, the ball passed the goal.
Dynamovki did not take long to wait for an answer and organized their approach to someone else's penalty area, which quickly turned into the first truly acute episode. Anastasia Shlapakova struck a tight blow, the ball hit the defender, bounced to Kristina Komissarova, and she played on finishing — the Zenit players had to urgently transfer the projectile to the corner.
The hostesses of the field responded with a quick lunge after a mistake by Muscovites near their own penalty area. Darina Ishmukhametova was in the strike position, but the ball flew a few centimeters from the bar. Literally in the next attack, Veronika Kuropatkina closed the feed from the corner of the field with a headbutt, sending the ball straight into the hands of the blue and white goalkeeper Anastasia Ananyeva. Gradually, the blue-white-blues took over the territorial advantage and began to dictate their terms, moving on to the game with the first number.
Closer to the middle of the first half, the pace dropped noticeably, a tight fight ensued on the field, in which the Petersburgers looked more active. The tension arose again after the standards: Zenit executed two corner shots in a row. When drawing the first of them, Ekaterina Pantyukhina struck the rally, and Anastasia Ananyeva in a jump pulled the ball out from under the crossbar itself, transferring it beyond the front line. However, soon the account was opened. Alyona Andreeva decided on a long—range strike, which turned out to be extremely accurate - the goalkeeper of the Muscovites in this situation could not save the team.
After the goal was scored, the game calmed down, breaking up into many small single combats in the center of the field without advancing to the goal. The chief referee of the meeting, Arina Stanovova, found no reason to extend the first half and sent the teams to a break without added minutes.
The second half of the match began with changes in the Dynamo lineup: instead of Milena Lyubimova, Isidora Vuchkovich appeared on the field. However, the rearrangement did not save the guests from the second missed goal in the opening half. Ishmukhametova completed a high throw into the penalty area, where Violeta Slovic closed the transfer with an accurate header, doubling the advantage of the hostesses.
Trying to refresh the game, the coaching staff of Muscovites made a double substitution. Maria Galai and Kristina Komissarova, for whom this match was the hundredth in a Dynamo T-shirt, gave way to Zelka Belovan and Irina Dricheva. Fresh players added speed: soon Dricheva broke through to the goal and made a shot along the front line, but after hitting Shlapakova, goalkeeper Natalia Voskobovich got in the way of the ball.
Closer to the final segment, the blue and white managed to press the opponents to their penalty area. The pressure was increasing, and after another shot by Shlapakova, the defender of the St. Petersburg team Slovich almost cut the ball into her own goal — the projectile passed just above the crossbar!
The Dynamovki then carried out another attack, delivering two tight shots on goal in a row, but Voskobovich securely fixed the ball and kept her goal intact.
Not realizing their own moments, the Muscovites missed for the third time at the very end of the meeting. Arina Shuba put an end to the match with a direct long-range shot, again forcing Anastasia Ananyeva to get the ball out of the net. Arina Stanovova compensated for three minutes by the time of the second half, but this did not affect the final result on the scoreboard.
Top 3 interesting facts about the match

About the opponent
The next opponent of the blue and white - Kazan ZHFC Rubin – is adjacent to the Moscow Dynamo in the standings, taking 7th place and five points behind the blue and white. The first thing that catches your eye, looking at this table: "Rubin" is the real king of draws this season! The Kazan club has already scored 8 of them in 19 matches. More than anyone in the Super League, more than victories and defeats for Rubin itself.
It's funny that Dynamo is just one of the two most uncompromising teams of the season. Like CSKA, the blue and white have drawn only once in this championship.
Rubin is another matter. Not only did the Cossacks collect a whole collection of tied results, but they even managed to give out a series of draws – at the very start of the season they drew three matches in a row! Then this did not happen anymore: the team under the leadership of Yevgeny Portnov at that time began to steadily alternate wins, draws and defeats.
The reservation about the coach of the Kazan team is not accidental: before the meeting with Dynamo, the 38-year–old specialist unexpectedly left his post, remaining in the Rubin system - he headed the youth team of the men's club. The change of the head coach during the season often has a very encouraging effect on the team – with fresh emotions, the players strive to prove their worth to the new coxswain, and therefore try to show all their best qualities.
Will it help now in the meeting with Dynamo? In the game of the first round, the Kazan women turned out to be stronger, having won a strong-willed victory at home (2:1). Then there was a meeting in the 1/8 finals of the Cup of Russia, again in Kazan, but this time the dynamos did not leave any questions – they defeated the hostesses with a score of 4:1 and passed on.
By the way, that victory in the first round was the first for Rubin in the confrontation with the Moscow Dynamo. Before that, Kazan football players did not know the taste of victories in games with blue and white - 4 defeats in 4 matches, in July the fifth was added after losing in the Russian Cup.
Another small touch to the upcoming confrontation – Rubin has scored more goals this season than Dynamo – 22 and 19 goals, respectively. But he also missed more – 25 missed against 17 at Dynamo.
According to such a scenario, there are great chances to see a draw in this meeting of Rubin, but what will it really be like?
