Dynamo lost in the derby to Spartak

Defeat in Samara and early, already in the first round, departure from the Winline of the Cup of Russia – so far the worst event of this summer in Dynamo. Yes, spring for blue and white, frankly speaking, did not work out either. If only because the team lost not only a lot of points in the championship, but also its long-term head coach.

But the summer started quite favorably for the blue and white and their new mentor Alexander Katasonov: a great victory over Lokomotiv at the club's main stadium, RZD Arena, an away zero draw with Ryazan-Airborne Forces, enough time to prepare for the start of the second most important tournament of the season - at least, all this set up cautious optimism. Yes, the undisputed defeat by the Russian national team (0:3) upset, but that's why she is a national team in order to gather the best Russian football players in her squad. Among which, by the way, was the dynamovka Kristina Komissarova.

And then – such a blow in Samara, 0:2 from the Wings of the Soviets. The defeat already in the first round, the 1/8 finals of the Winline Cup of Russia is the first in the history of the Dynamo Housing and Communal Services, this has never happened to our team before this year. On the contrary, Dynamovka has always conducted its opening matches in cup tournaments with super success – let's remember 11:1 with Strogino in 2023 and 6:1 with the Football Academy in Tambov in 2024. On the other hand, everything happens for the first time. And the team has to go through this.

Well, Dynamo's opponent in today's derby, Spartak, starts the second round as the leader of the Winline Super League. It is well deserved, because this is the only team that has been going through the season without defeats so far. And in the cup match, unlike Dynamo, the red and white did not experience any problems - in Kazan they easily coped with Rubin (5:1) and now they will play in the 1/4 finals with the same Wings that beat Dynamo. So the main derby of the season for our team was the final one this year.

As in the last derby, the beginning of the meeting was left to our guests – the red-and-whites from the very first minutes organized a tough pressure on Diana Ponomareva's gate and over and over again began to test her nerves for strength. Several strikes of Spartak football players were really disturbing, but in general, both the Dynamo defenders and Diana herself dealt with them calmly and coolly.

Another unpleasant moment was the initial advantage of the Spartak team in possession of the ball. However, the blue and white leveled this plus for the time being with their counterpressing and good counterattacks. By the middle of the first half, it became obvious that the game was not exactly on an equal footing, but clearly not with the advantage that was expected from the red and white from the very start of the game.

Moreover, right after a gorgeous save by Ponomareva, when Lina Yakupova's head was hit, dynamovki could, should have scored! Yulia Bessolova was literally left alone in front of Spartak's goal, and only she herself will be able to explain how she did not hit the target and did not realize the most dangerous moment of Dynamo in the first half...

It became clear – Spartak will also make mistakes and, of course, Dynamo football players can use this. The main thing is to keep your concentration, especially when playing defense.

The tension in the game persisted until the very break and, it should be noted, the ending remained for Spartak: there was a shot under the crossbar of Christina Cherkasova, and a very unpleasant flight of the ball near the Dynamo gate. But in the end, in the first half, everything went well for Alexandra Katasonov's team.

But the second half started for our team already quite bleak. In the 52nd minute, ex-dynamo Marina Fedorova approached the ball and executed a penalty so that Diana Ponomareva, even touching the ball, could not stop his way to the "nine" Dynamo gates…

Anastasia Kovaleva could immediately restore parity in the score, who fired like a cannon into the near corner, and only the skill of the red-and-white goalkeeper Ekaterina Shcherbakova allowed Spartak to be saved from the goal!

It is curious that the segment that followed immediately after this moment turned out to be somewhat paradoxical: the game seemed to have subsided, as if the spartacists decided once again not to take risks and play according to the score, however, less than 10 minutes later, the head coach of the red team exploded with emotions and an angry tirade against the referee Marina Krupskaya.belykh Vadim Kozlov. For which he was expelled by the chief judge for such behavior outside the stadium in Novogorsk.

Left without their helmsman, the Spartacists finally switched to a cautious game in attack and the most attentive in defense. And this plan worked exactly at such a moment: if Spartak was satisfied with everything in this situation, then the Dynamos simply could not figure out how to crack these red-and-white defensive ranks.

Finally, everything fell into place at the last minute of regular time, when, after another productive action by Tiyana Filipovic in the match with Dynamo, this time an assist, an accurate header by Anna Kozhnikova sent the second ball into the blue and white goal.

Spartak put a spectacular point in a game that was not the brightest for itself, and the Dynamo team completed the third goal in a row without scoring goals.
