Lavrentiev's departure, Shlapakova's phenomenon, youth team silver: the main events of 2025

How did the team survive the departure of Sergey Lavrentiev? Which of the newcomers has become indispensable, and who has entered the "50 Club"? And why, despite the 7th place, do we have reasons for optimism?

We are summing up the big results of the most difficult and eventful season in the club's history.

Large-scale reinforcement: Super League stars and legionnaires with Champions League experience

Before the 2025 season, 9 football players joined the blue and white team at once. The transfer campaign turned out to be one of the most ambitious and geographically diverse in the club's history: the team was strengthened by both proven fighters of the Russian championship and titled legionnaires.

A powerful replenishment arrived from Russian clubs. One of the best scorers of the WINLINE Super League of recent years Daniela Basaeva (30 goals for Krasnodar) was added to Dynamo's attack, and the most experienced Nadezhda Koltakova, a two–time champion of Russia, who transferred from Rostov, was called upon to cement the defense. The midfield line was strengthened by one of the most promising young football players in the country, a pupil of Chertanovo, Tatyana Danilochkina, twice nominated for the title of the best young player of the league before this season and nominated for the third time after the end of the season at Dynamo.

A whole group of newcomers were made up of football players from neighboring countries. Three players of the Belarusian national team became dynamos at once: Anastasia Shlapakova, Anna Sas and young Anastasia Kovaleva. The newcomers have an impressive collection of trophies for three of them: 6 championship titles, Cups and Super Cups of Belarus, as well as playing experience in Europe (Spain, Germany, Turkey).

The geography of the club has also expanded at the expense of foreign countries. Defender Zeljka Belovan and versatile Isidora Vuchkovic moved from Serbian Spartak (Subotica) to Moscow – both players have experience in the Champions League. And in March, Turkish midfielder Berivan Ichen, known as the youngest debutante in the history of her national team, joined the team.

The wind of change: the departure of legionnaires, the end of the careers of Samoilova and Chistyakova

Before the start of the 2025 season, Dynamo experienced a noticeable roster update. As in previous offseasons, the changes affected all lines of the team: from defense to attack. The club has parted with a number of players whose contracts have expired, and several football players have gone for playing practice for rent.

Serbian midfielder Tiyana Matic, one of the leaders of the center of the field, who was recognized by fans as the best player of the month, left the team. Agreements have also ended with the defenders: Montenegrin Tanya Malesia and Belarusian Ksenia Kubichnaya, whose career in the blue and white camp was overshadowed by a serious injury. Together with them, young Russian football players left the club: Alexandra Nesterovich, Taisiya Razvorotneva and Svetlana Eliseeva.

Just four Dynamo players spent the 2025 season in other Super League clubs on loan. Galina Geybieva– a historical figure for Dynamo and the first to play for the club in three different tournaments, went to Krasnoyarsk Yenisei. Jose-Diana Pamentino moved to the Perm Zvezda-2005, Liana Kotelnikova – to the capital Chertanovo, and Lamunat Mustafaeva – to Ryazan-Airborne. The rights to all rented football players have been retained by our club.

A separate chapter in the life of the club this season was the decision of Elina Samoilova. An experienced midfielder, multiple national champion, announced the end of her professional career during the season.

In a short time at Dynamo, Elina became an indispensable figure, being one of two football players who played in all official matches in the previous season.

Another iconic figure in the Dynamo team has changed his role. The author of the first goal in the history of the Dynamo Football Club, Alina Chistyakova, also completed her career as a player and joined the coaching staff of the team. The 20-year-old football player, who has played for the blue and white since the club was founded, made this decision due to the consequences of a serious injury sustained back in 2022.

Now Chistyakova works as an assistant coach for general physical training in the main blue and white team.

Sergey Lavrentiev left the post of head coach of WFC Dynamo after three years of work

A whole era has come to an end in our club this season. On April 23, 2025, the termination of cooperation was announced by mutual agreement of the parties of the Dynamo Housing and Communal Services and head coach Sergei Lavrentiev. The reason for this decision was the unsuccessful start of the blue and white in the new season.

Sergey Lavrentiev has been the permanent mentor of Dynamo since the foundation of the club's women's direction in December 2021. Under his leadership, the team spent more than three seasons at the professional level. In total, led by Lavrentiev, the blue and white played 84 matches, in which they won 48 victories.

In the debut season-2022 Sergey Nikolayevich led our team to the silver medals of the Youth League. In subsequent seasons (2023 and 2024), the main team under his leadership finished in fifth place in the WINLINE Super League and twice reached the 1/4 finals of the WINLINE Cup of Russia.

After Lavrentiev's departure, 53-year-old specialist Alexander Katasonov, who has experience working in the structures of Lokomotiv, Khimki, Rodina and joined the Dynamo headquarters as a senior coach in early 2025, was appointed acting head coach.

A month later, on May 22, the club management approved Katasonov as head coach on a permanent basis.

Season-2025: relegation to 7th place and early departure from the Cup

This season has become the most difficult for the blue and white for the entire time of their performance in the elite of Russian women's football. If in the previous two championships, in 2023 and 2024, Dynamo demonstrated enviable stability, invariably occupying the 5th line, then 2025 brought with it a historic anti-record.

The final 7th place in the WINLINE Super League is the worst result in the club's history since its debut in the top division. The performance statistics also show a negative trend: in 24 matches, the team won 11 victories, which is two less than it was last season, and three more at once than in the debut 2023. The full picture of the Dynamo team's performance this season looks like this: 11 wins – 4 draws – 9 defeats, 37 points scored.

However, even with this result, you can find an interesting statistical nuance. Dynamo finished the championship with a positive goal difference: 35-31 (+4). Blue and white were among the only six teams in the league (out of 13 participants) that came out "plus" in this indicator – they were accompanied only by the grandees (Spartak, CSKA, Zenit, Lokomotiv) and Krasnodar. It is curious that even the Samara "Wings of the Soviets" who finished a line higher have only a zero balance of goals (21-21), but they turned out to be more successful in the table.

The performance in the second most important tournament of the country did not go well either. In the WINLINE Cup of Russia, Dynamo finished the fight at the very first stage for itself – in the 1/8 finals. The blue and white have never left the tournament so quickly. For comparison: in the 2024 season, the team reached the quarterfinals, and in 2023, although it also flew out in 1/8, it started its journey from the 1/16 finals, having managed to pass one round.

The result of the season: 7th place in the WINLINE Super League table and relegation to the 1/8 finals of the WINLINE Cup. Both indicators became the lowest point in the club's statistical history at the highest level, interrupting a two-year streak of top-5 finishes.

Lavrentiev's departure, Shlapakova's phenomenon, youth team silver: the main events of 2025

Shlapakova season: the Belarusian midfielder became the absolute leader of Dynamo

According to the results of the 2025 season, the midfielder of the Dynamo Housing and Communal Complex Anastasia Shlapakova topped the rating of the team's players in most key statistical indicators. The Belarusian football player scored the highest RuStat index among all representatives of the blue and white - 169.

Shlapakova finished the season as the club's top scorer, scoring 7 goals (all within the WINLINE Super League). In the match against Rubin (3:1), she scored a double. Anastasia also became the best in the team in the goal + pass system, scoring a total of 9 points (7 goals and 2 assists).

The leadership was also confirmed by the indicator of expected goals (xG): Shlapakova's score was 6.12, which is higher than that of the second scorer of the team Kaylan Williams (4.77 xG, 6 goals).

The midfielder showed the most activity in the attack: she scored 44 shots on goal (17 on target) and took part in 15 scoring attacks – these are the best figures in Dynamo.

In addition, Shlapakova created 24 scoring chances, which allowed her to enter the top 10 players of the entire league in this parameter. For comparison, the title of the best assistant of the team went to Daniela Basaeva (4 assists).

Finally, Anastasia showed high stability, taking part in all 25 official matches of the season (24 in the championship and 1 in the Cup), spending 1807 minutes on the field. Only Yulia Bessolova and Isidora Vuchkovich achieved a similar indicator in terms of the number of games.

My home is my fortress: Dynamo became the home team and beat Lokomotiv twice in the season

The key feature of the season that ended for Dynamo was the successful play of the team on its own field and the results of face-to-face meetings with principal rivals.

The main part of the points in the WINLINE Super League were scored by the blue and white in home matches - 23 points. This is 9 points more than it was scored in away games. The team suffered only three defeats at home: from Krylia Sovetov (1:2), CSKA (1:3) and Spartak (0:2). In addition, Dynamo has a home winless streak of six matches, which included five wins and one draw.

It is interesting that this season four clubs entered the category of "convenient" opponents, who managed to beat twice in a season: Yenisei, Rostov, Rubin and ... Lokomotiv. The meetings with the railwaywomen ended with a score of 1:0 (away at the RZD Arena) and 4:1 (at home in Novogorsk). And in total, dynamovki won five crushing victories in the 2025 season.

The most difficult opponents were expected to be the leaders of the season – Spartak and CSKA, who beat Dynamo in both rounds (in the game with the army team at the Khimki Arena, a 0:3 technical defeat was recorded).

However, the most negative statistics developed in the confrontation with the "Wings of the Soviets." The Samara club became the only one to whom Dynamo lost three times during the season: twice in the championship (including a big 1:4) and once in the 1/8 finals of the WINLINE Cup of Russia.

Seven Dynamo players entered the "50 Club" during the 2025 season

During the 2025 season, seven players of the main squad at once overcame the mark of 50 official matches for the Dynamo Housing and Communal Services. The anniversary Games were hosted by Elena Shesterneva, Helena Bozhich, Maria Digurova, Diana Ponomareva, Irina Dricheva, Yulia Bessolova and Milena Nikitina.

Thanks to this replenishment, the total number of football players who have played 50 or more matches for Dynamo has reached 13 people. Previously, Kristina Komissarova, Kaylan Williams, Arina Taranchenko, Camilla Abashilova, Galina Geybieva and Jose-Diana Pamentino overcame this milestone.

The absolute record holder of the club remains Kristina Komissarova, who has 82 official games for the blue and white. Recall that the statistics take into account matches for the main team, as well as for the youth team in the 2022 season.

The closest candidates for joining the symbolic Guards club are striker Fauzia Nazhemba (47 matches) and defender Maria Galai (46 matches).

International season-2025: dynamovki in the national teams of Russia, Belarus, Montenegro and Turkey

The unconditional achievement of the club in the 2025 season was the wide representation of Dynamo players in the international arena. A total of 16 Dynamo football players were called up to the national teams of four countries during this season. The blue and white players took part in the UEFA Nations League, European Championship qualifying tournaments and a series of friendly matches.

The club had the largest representation, of course, in the Russian national teams. Kristina Komissarova, Elena Shesterneva, Yulia Bessolova, Maria Galai, Elina Samoilova and goalkeeper Diana Ponomareva were called up to the main national team. The geography of the matches in which Russian dynamovki took part covered the UAE, Serbia, North Macedonia and the DPRK.

The most unusual event of the international season was a unique friendly match held in June in Selyatino. The main team of Dynamo played against the Russian national team. The meeting ended with the victory of the national team with a score of 3:0, and the special piquancy of the situation was given by the fact that the blue and white midfielder Kristina Komissarova joined the starting lineup of Yuri Krasnozhan's team and played a half against her own club.

Arina Taranchenko, Tatyana Danilochkina, Ekaterina Sergeeva, Valeria Azeeva and Daniella Petrova played for the youth national team of Russia (U-19).

Representatives of the Dynamo headquarters Vitaly Shadrin, Nikita Smirnov and Anna Stukalova also worked with the Russian national teams throughout the year.

The leaders of the national team of Belarus were Anastasia Shlapakova, Anna Sas and Anastasia Kovaleva. Shlapakova was noted for her high performance, scoring goals for Azerbaijan and Malta. Kovaleva was also involved in the games for the Belarusian youth.

A successful year was for Helena Bojic and the national team of Montenegro. Following the results of the group stage of the League of Nations, Montenegrin football players achieved promotion in class, moving from Division C to Division B.

At the end of the year, Berivan Ichen received a call-up to the Turkish national team.

Dynamo youth team: the second "silver" in history and victory in the Moscow Winter Cup

The 2025 season turned out to be successful and productive for the Dynamo youth team. Under the leadership of head coach Oleg Gusev, the second blue and white team not only confirmed its high class, but also replenished the club museum with a trophy. At the beginning of the year, the team became the winner of the Moscow Winter Cup, setting the right tone for the whole season.

And in the main tournament – the Youth League – Dynamo repeated their achievement, as in 2022, winning silver medals of the championship.

The main result of the work of the youth direction was the successful integration of young football players into the main squad. Five players worked on two fronts at once this season, defending the colors of both the main team in the WINLINE Super League and the youth. These are goalkeeper Arina Taranchenko, midfielders Tatyana Danilochkina, Irina Dricheva and Ekaterina Sergeeva, as well as striker Anastasia Kovaleva. All of them made a significant contribution to winning silver medals.

It was this trio – 18-year–old Danilochkina, Kovaleva and Sergeeva - who became the youngest football players to play as the basis of Dynamo in the official matches of the season. Moreover, their role was not limited to replacement exits. Statistics confirm the quality of the youth game: Tatyana Danilochkina entered the top three players of the entire club according to the RuStat index (168), sharing this indicator with the player of the basics Milena Nikitina.

The goalkeeper's line also performed well. Arina Taranchenko, having played 9 matches as a basis and not missing in three of them, scored an identical RuStat index (162) with a more experienced colleague in the role of Diana Ponomareva.

However, emotions are also characteristic of youth: the same Danilochkina earned a removal this season.
