Dynamo defender Maria Galai celebrates her birthday on Wednesday.
Maria was born in Omsk, where she took her first steps in football under the guidance of her first coach, Evgenia Ivanova.
Together with Omsk "Irtysh" Galai became the bronze medalist of the Russian championship in the First Division, and at the age of 20 she made her debut in the top league of women's Russian football as part of Perm "Zvezda-2005".
For seven seasons in the Perm team, the defender has collected an impressive collection of awards: she became the champion of Russia three times (2014, 2015, 2017), won the National Cup three times (2013, 2015, 2016), and also took silver (2013, 2016) and bronze (2018) championship medals. Later, Maria played for ZHFC Minsk in Belarus and Moscow Lokomotiv.
Since January 2024, Galai has been defending the colors of the Moscow Dynamo. As part of the blue and white, she has already played 67 matches, scored two goals and gave three assists.
