On Saturday, March 21, 2026, the match of the 2nd round of the Super League among women's teams between Dynamo Moscow and Zenit St. Petersburg will take place at the VTB UTB Novogorsk-Dynamo stadium.

13 teams will take part in the 2026 Super League season:

As last year, in the 2026 season, 13 teams will hold a smooth two-round tournament with away and home games, a total of 24 matches each. The matches of the 1st round were held on March 14-15, the finish of the season is scheduled for November 14-15.
During the season, there are pauses for training camps and games of national teams, as well as for holding matches of the Cup of Russia.
By the way, the start of the new championship this time was held without the participation of Dynamo – our football club missed the 1st round. As last year, due to the odd composition of the participants, each team is forced to skip two rounds during the season. The next such round without the participation of white and blue will be the 14th round, which will be held on July 18-19.

Team status
The team started preparing for the new season on January 12, when the players came out of vacation and traditionally underwent an in-depth medical examination. After that, the blue and white held their first training camp in Novogorsk, and after that they went to Turkey, where the basic training of the team took place. During the training camp in Belek, the team played several friendly matches.

As every off-season, in the winter Dynamo added several new players:
– two-time champion of Russia as a member of the CSKA Housing and Communal Services Anastasia Ananyeva
– 17-year-old pupil of FC Ural Academy Ksenia Pilnikova
– Jose-Diana Pamen Tchato has returned from renting to Zvezda-2005 Housing and Communal Complex
But the main changes took place in the coaching and medical staffs of the Dynamo main team: the former blue and white coach Alexander Katasonov left the team along with his entire coaching staff.
In January, Dynamo was headed by Maxim Zinoviev, a 45–year-old specialist who had been successfully working at the CSKA Housing and Communal Services for many years.

As every year, losses also happened this offseason. In the winter, a large group of players left the team, including the leaders of the team last season:
– after the expiration of the contracts – goalkeeper Diana Ponomareva, defenders Helena Bojic and Milena Nikitina, forwards Fauzia Nazhemba, Kaylan Williams and Elena Shesterneva
– moved to other clubs – midfielder Liana Kotelnikova and striker Galina Geybieva
– on loan – goalkeeper Anastasia Shervyanina (Vitebsk) and midfielder Valery Azeev (Chertanovo)
And yet the main thing is that the winter off–season has finally come to an end, which means that the most interesting thing ahead is the start of the new season, which will be Dynamo's fourth at the highest level.
Recall that the blue and white took 7th place in the Super League in the 2025 season, and in the Russian Cup they finished their performance at the 1/8 finals stage.

About the opponent
The first opponent of the blue and white at the start of the 2026 season is Zenit FC, the bronze medalist of the Super League and the winner of the Russian Super Cup in 2025.
Like Dynamo, the multiple champion of Russia has undergone a serious transformation this offseason. The coaching staff was replaced in the leading team – the place of Andrei Bogdanavichus, who served as head coach at the end of the previous season after the departure of Olga Poryadina, was taken by Alexei Tarasyuk, who previously worked in the Housing and Communal Complex Chertanovo and the Zenit youth team.
Changes in the team itself turned out to be no less large-scale. Not only young football players such as Violetta Isaikina and Ksenia Oleksiuk left the St. Petersburg club, but also the real leaders who formed the backbone of the team in recent years: Gabriela Gzhivinska (Spartak), Priscila Chinchilla (Atletico), Catalina Estrada (Deportivo Saprissa), Nigar Mirzalieva (Hamburg).
As for the replenishment, then, in addition to Elizaveta Semenova, Anastasia Fedishina and Lyubov Ovsyanikova, who returned from the lease, this time the blue-white-blues limited themselves to two newcomers – Serbian girls Zivana Stupar and Violeta Slovic, who moved to St. Petersburg and Spartak (Subotica).
However, even such drastic changes did not prevent the traditional favorite of the season from going through pre-season training with an absolute result: Zvezda was beaten at the training camp.-2005" (2:1), " Krasnodar" (7:0), "Dynamo" (2:1), as well as Kazakhstan's "BIIK-Shymkent" (6:1).
The level of the club's ambitions from the banks of the Neva was also confirmed at the first official meeting of the season, which took place a week ago, on March 15 in St. Petersburg. The wards of Alexei Tarasyuk started it with not as confident as the St. Petersburg fans would like, but still a home victory over Zvezda-2005 (1:0). Success with a minimal advantage of blue-white-blue brought an own goal performed by Perm football players in the first half.
However, the score could have been bigger, and the victory in the debut meeting of the season would have been more confident if Zenit midfielder Alena Andreeva had taken a penalty in compensated time. But the St. Petersburg footballers were not destined to score that day: Elizaveta Sevko, the goalkeeper of Zvezda-2005, got in the way of the ball.
Nevertheless, a difficult victory was achieved, and Zenit joined the winners of the 1st round - CSKA, Spartak, Krasnodar and Krylia Sovetov.
