Team status
In the last round, the Dynamo youth team hosted its principal rivals in Novogorsk – Spartak Sports Complex. And this time the derby turned out to be really fiery! And in this case, attention is drawn not even to the final score in favor of the blue and white, but to the intensity, the nerve of the very game of two irreconcilable rivals.
The first attacks and moments for taking the goal remained with the owners of the Novogorsky field. There was only one problem – Oleg Gusev's wards were just frankly unlucky. Irina Dricheva, and especially Svetlana Vinnikova, who could hit the red-and-white goal twice only in the first half, had to realize their moments. But they couldn't do it.
For which the Dynamo team, as is often the case, could have paid. Having an undeniable advantage throughout the first half, the blue and white almost missed: the Spartacists carried out several dangerous attacks, each of which could bring success to Ivan Kvasov's team.
And yet luck smiled on our team, and even more spectacularly! First, in the 41st minute, Angelina Golik finally broke through Spartak's defense with a fantastically long-range strike, and two minutes laterAnastasia Kovaleva, after intercepting Valeria Azeeva, scored an equally magnificent goal! So, in just two minutes, the scales completely tilted to the side of Dynamo.
There was no less tension in the second half of the meeting. Despite the advantage that the blue and white still possessed, Spartak football players began to create their moments. It became especially alarming in the middle of the half, when the guests began to systematically carry out dangerous attacks one after another. So, in two episodes of Dynamo at once, the bar and the crossbar saved, in others – the goalkeeperMaria Leontieva, who once again proved the status of one of the most valuable players of the current composition of the youth team of the blue and white.
But she was powerless when, in the 83rd minute, Valeria Kuznetsova, who came on as a substitute, not only sent the ball into the Dynamo goal, but also caused serious damage to the blue and white midfielder.Varvara Demidova, who could not continue the meeting.
After such a double trouble, the blue and white were forced to spend the final minutes of the meeting in a deaf defense, every now and then fighting off Spartak's attacks, which like sea waves rolled on our gates. The tension peaked in the added time, but Spartak did not achieve the main thing: it was not possible to break through the Dynamo defense for the second time, led by the magnificent Leontieva red and white!
— I want to say a big thank you to the girls, a low bow to them! We warned them that it would be a tough game, and that's how it turned out. The girls completely coped and pulled out this match. Of course, we dedicate this victory to the fans! — The head coach of the Dynamo youth football team Oleg Gusev commented so briefly and succinctly on the results of the victorious match with Spartak.
The defender of the blue and white Daria Guskova shared her impressions of the derby much more emotionally and in more detail:
— Every game is important for us. If we want to take high places, we need to take three points in every match. Yes, in the first half the weather was very difficult to play, but then we got used to it and it became easier to play. Was there excitement at the end of the meeting with the score 2:1? We are always confident in our abilities, so we wanted to score more. Both my personal goal and the goal of the whole team is only the first place.
I dedicate the victory to my parents, friends who came to support me, and, of course, to our fans. You were clearly audible throughout the game, your support always charges us, come more often!
Well, the main result of this rainy Sunday evening in Novogorsk was this. Our team won at the same time the hardest and most important victory in the derby and continued its pursuit of the leader of the Youth League – Lokomotiv Moscow.

About the opponent, the history of the confrontation, the judging panel
The opponent of the blue and white in the 6th round is the youth team of FC Zenit - on the one hand, traditionally one of the leaders and favorites of the entire season of the Youth League, the silver and bronze medalist of the tournament of the last two seasons.
On the other hand, Roman Levendeev's team did not exactly fail the start of the new season, but it was clearly not at the strength it was capable of. Of course, home victories over Rostov (17:0!) and Spartak (2:0) look very powerful. Largely due to this, the blue-white-and-blues are currently in second place in terms of performance in the youth championship, second only to the leader of Lokomotiv – 22 goals against 24 from the railwaywomen.
But the St. Petersburg team has also already lost points, and more than once. And if the away draw (1:1) with the same Lokomotiv looks like a positive result, then another draw – with the Wings of the Soviets in Samara (2:2) – is difficult for Petersburgers to record as an asset. Hence, so far only the 6th place in the Youth League standings is out of 11 participants.
However, it is necessary, of course, to look at this intermediate result with an amendment. Firstly, Zenit has played only 4 matches at the moment, in which it scored 8 points, but in terms of lost points it can rise to third place and come close to Dynamo – in case of a victory over the blue and white in the next match. Well, the second reason why the team from the banks of the Neva should by no means be underestimated is its defensive play. In the four matches played, the blue-white-Blues conceded only 3 goals, two of which in that ill-fated draw with the Wings in Samara. CSKA has missed the same number, and so far only one team has missed less this season – Krasnodar (2).
It has also already been said about the Zenit attack: 22 goals scored is the second figure in the entire league. Just a figure: 4 Zenit players have already scored 3 goals at once! There is another player in the blue-white-blue team with 3 goals in the asset, but she scored all these goals as part of another club – Dynamo Moscow. We are talking about the former defender of the blue and white Anastasia Gnennaya, who managed to play three matches for Dynamo this season, and in early May moved to St. Petersburg. Nastya has played one match for the St. Petersburg team so far – against Lokomotiv, but she has not yet managed to distinguish herself for the new club. Will she be able to do it in the first match against the former team, we'll find out this Sunday.
A separate topic is the history of the confrontation between Dynamo and Zenit youth teams. The teams have already played 6 matches with each other and the blue-white-blue advantage looks simply threatening: 5 wins and only one defeat, recorded back in October 2022, when the Dynamo team led by Sergey Lavrentiev held its debut season in official tournaments.
But this is not all bad news for our youth. In addition to the series of defeats, Dynamo's goalless series in matches with Zenit also continues: it already counts 4 matches in a row, in which the St. Petersburg football players sent 11 unanswered goals to the gates of the blue and white…
We are not hinting at anything, but we need to do something about this very sad statistic. And preferably in the next match.

The first game of Dynamo and Zenit in the Youth League this season will be served by a referee team led by Kristina Varyanitsa from Sochi, who will be assisted by assistant referees Elena Sobchuk (St. Petersburg) and Ekaterina Kozyreva (Moscow).
Previously, Varyanitsa did not work as a chief referee at Dynamo matches.
