Team status
Alexander Katasonov's wards played their previous match in Novogorsk against the leader of the season – ZHFC CSKA. Unfortunately, the army club, which has perfect statistics of personal meetings with Dynamo, has again confirmed its high status: Maxim Zinoviev's team almost without problems won the seventh victory in a row in games with blue and white.
Moreover, the question of the winner of the meeting was practically resolved already in the first minutes after the starting whistle of the referee Alina Vakhrusheva: Daria Yakovleva and Yulia Pleshkova scored a goal each and made the score 2:0 in favor of CSKA by the 5th minute of the match…
Our girls managed to knock down the attacking impulse of the army football players, with which they attacked the Dynamo team from the very first seconds, and put the game in a calmer direction. True, the blue and White did not manage to extract any profit from this in the attack, it was generally clear that it was difficult for them to oppose such a CSKA and break through such reliable defensive redoubts to the gates of Anastasia Ananyeva. The maximum that dynamos were able to squeeze out of their attacks was long–range strikes, which did not always hit the target, and if they did, they did not pose a particular danger to the army goalkeeper.
When there were only a few minutes left before the end of the first half of the match, the Dynamo coaching staff decided to intervene: acting head coach Alexander Katasonov did not wait for the break and immediately made a double substitution – instead of Maria Galai, already hanging on a yellow card, and Elina Samoilova releasedMilena Nikitin andBerivan Ichen.
The teams still left for the break with the same score in favor of the army club, but the beginning of the second half instilled some hope in the hearts of Dynamo fans. At least that they will see goals performed by their favorites in this game. At least the dynamos took the ball for themselves and even started creating something at the opponents' goal.
As part of the opponents in the second half of the meeting, the key figure was midfielder Sofia Kraysumovich. It was from her submission that Elizaveta Semenova, who came on as a substitute, scored the third goal against Arina Taranchenko and, in fact, finally buried the intrigue in this match.
We must pay tribute to the Dynamo players – they did not give up and continued to play, despite the devastating score. For which, in the end, football fate rewarded them. At first, Dynamo central defender Nadezhda Koltakova could have caught the army goalkeeper on a mistake, but her header turned out to be inaccurate. If our defender had scored at that moment, the game could have turned out a little differently.
And closer to the end of regular time, the blue and white striker Daniela Basaeva, in a fight with CSKA defender Mina Chavich, fell into the opponent's penalty area and earned a penalty. Berivan Ichen came out to execute it, which the Turkish football player coolly did, setting the final score of the game – 3:1 in favor of CSKA.
And if after this defeat the position in the standings did not change at all for the blue and white, then CSKA was ahead of Spartak at the end of the tour and reached the first place in the Winline Super League. Moreover, having the game in reserve, the army can even break away from the same red-and-white, although they have recently been single-handedly topping the table.
Top 3 interesting facts about the match
1st
Dynamo was defeated under the leadership of acting head coach Alexander Katasonov. Before that, the blue and white won twice (against Yenisei and Chertanovo) and drew (with Zvezda-2005).
Interestingly, it was also his last in this status. On May 21, Aleksandr Mikhailovich was officially approved as the head coach of the WFC Dynamo. Under the leadership of the 53-year-old specialist, the Dynamo main team won two victories (over Yenisei and Chertanovo), played a draw (with Zvezda-2005) and lost to the WFC CSKA.
2nd
A goal in five matches for Dynamo was scored by the newcomer of the blue and white Berivan Ichen. The 21-year–old Turkish woman scored again from the standard position - after a free-kick goal against Yenisei the player realized a penalty from CSKA.
Berivan scored both goals after coming on as a substitute in the second half.
5
Dynamo's two central defenders– Zelka Belovan andNadezhda Koltakova, having become the most striking players in the blue and white team.

About the opponent
The next opponent of the blue and white is Zenit FC, the current three–time champion of the Super League (2022, 2023, 2024) and the finalist of three (!) Russian Cup draws in a row (2021, 2022, 2023), as well as the winner of the National Super Cup (2023).
Despite the fact that the second most important club tournament will not submit to the team from the banks of the Neva, of course, it will traditionally be a contender to win both the championship and the Winline Cup of Russia. Moreover, in this tournament draw, only Lokomotiv Moscow, the current winner of the trophy, will be able to prevent Zenit from reaching the finals again, with whom they will be able to meet no earlier than the semifinals. Well, in the other half of the grid there will be a real fight for a ticket to the finals: here is the eternal offender of Zenit in the finals of the CSKA Cup, and this season's daring Spartak and Krasnodar, and of course the Moscow Dynamo.
However, these are all matters of the near, but future. And right now the St. Petersburg club is fighting for leadership in the championship – with the same CSKA and Spartak. And, by the way, so far they are inferior in this fight, taking only 3rd place in the Winline Super League standings. Despite the 9-match winless streak, the blue-white-blue points have already been lost this season. And if the away zero draw with Spartak can even be recorded with some stretch as an asset to Zenit, then the home draw with Krylia Sovetov (0:0) can only be explained by one thing – it was the opening match of the season, and the Samara team this year does not look as helpless as in the past.
However, it is clear that the whole fight in the championship is still ahead, and Olga Ordina's wards will score their points. Moreover, Zenit can lead the table in the next round. Considering that Spartak is missing the tour, and CSKA will have to fight with Lokomotiv, the victory of the St. Petersburg team over Dynamo may bring it the long-awaited leadership. And immediately for three whole weeks – the championship will take an international pause because of the games of the national teams. What is not motivation?
But our team also has its own motivation. Dynamo has never beaten Zenit in the history of the confrontation: 5 matches – 5 defeats. Moreover, Dynamo sent their first goals to the Zenit gate only in the fifth match in a row – in August last year, when they lost in St. Petersburg with a score of 2:5. And now – a new trip to the banks of the Neva and a new attempt to interrupt this very unpleasant and protracted series.
Moreover, both teams have their own scorers, who are among the highest–scoring this season - Dynamo Kaylan Williams and Zenit Kiki have 5 goals scored in 9 matches. Another intrigue and another cool confrontation, which, we hope, will end in our favor!
Achievements of FC Zenit: gold (2022, 2023, 2024) and bronze (2021) medals of the Super League, the Russian Super Cup (2023), the Russian Cup final (2021, 2022, 2023), the Russian Super Cup final (2024).
