The state of the teams: Spartak series and revenge for Dynamo
In the previous round, Maxim Zinoviev's wards hosted the red-and-whites in Khimki at the Rodina stadium, where they fought with them for a ticket to the semi-finals of the Cup of Russia.
The match of the 1/4 finals of the year began with the active actions of both sides, but Dynamo managed to realize the first dangerous moment. In the 4th minute, after a corner kick by Kristina Komissarova and a subsequent strike by Anastasia Shlapakova, a struggle arose in the goalkeeper square of Elizaveta Shcherbakova. The Dynamo central defender Daniela Basaeva, who recently played in the center of the attack, got her bearings in the situation faster than anyone and sent the ball into the goal, opening the score – 1:0!
By the 11th minute, Spartak increased the pressure on the defensive orders of the hostesses, which brought the result in the 15th minute. Gabriela Gzhivinska took advantage of the discount from the same Dynamo defender Basaeva and struck an accurate blow without resistance, restoring balance in the match.
Despite the fact that by the middle of the first half the initiative was completely taken over by the Spartak players, the game went into a calmer channel. Despite the territorial advantage of the guests, the Dynamo defense acted in an organized manner, and the teams went on break with a draw result.
At the beginning of the second half, the blue and white coaching staff made a double substitution: Isidora Vuchkovich replaced Milena Lyubimova, and Irina Dricheva came out instead of Kristina Komissarova. The scenario of the game has not changed: Spartak had more possession of the ball, and Dynamo was counting on counterattacks. In the 64th minute, Vuchkovich made a flanking pass and executed a shot that Dricheva almost closed.
In the final part of the regular time, the teams made regular substitutions. Spartak had Kira Petukhova on the field instead of Natalia with a Car, and Dynamo Berivan Ichen replaced Anastasia Shlapakova. In the 77th minute, the goalkeeper of the guests Shcherbakova parried Anastasia Kovaleva's tight shot under the crossbar. The end of the half and the main time of the match was decorated with a cool game by Dynamo goalkeeper Anastasia Ananyeva, who first coped with a headbutt by Gzhivinskaya, and then with a long–range shot by Dina Blagojevich. Before the penalty shootout, Spartak's coaching staff carried out a tactical replacement of the goalkeeper, releasing Victoria Nosenko, as well as Lydia Kulish instead of Cherkasova.
In the penalty shootout, Tatyana Danilochkina shot past the goal with the first shot. All the other participants in the series were accurate. Spartak's attempts were made by Marina Fedorova, Dina Blagojevich, Gabriela Gzhivinska, Natalia Morozova and Lydia Kulish. Daniela Basaeva, Berivan Ichen, Irina Dricheva and Anastasia Kovaleva scored goals from the spot as part of Dynamo.
Thus, Spartak passed to the semifinal stage of the Russian Cup, where a new derby awaits him – this time with Lokomotiv. Dynamo, on the other hand, continues to play in the Super League and will play the next match… again with Spartak.
By the way, in the championship standings, the teams are separated by a solid 12 points – red and white with 28 points occupy the 3rd place, blue and white have 16 points in their assets and are on the 6th line.
However, perhaps the main goal for the next match for the Dynamo team is to finally break the winless streak in the games with Spartak. And it is already 6 matches: Dynamo suffered 5 defeats in the Super League, and one more, albeit on penalties, in the Russian Cup.
Now the victory over the red and white can also be revenge – for the defeat in the quarterfinals of the Cup of Russia a week ago.
