The previous match, in which the blue and white in Novogorsk hosted the Moscow Lokomotiv, took place more than a month ago, on June 8. By the time of the meeting with the capital club, the Dynamo team was in the group of leaders of the Youth League standings, just one point behind the railwaywomen. That is, in the event of a victory on their own field, Oleg Gusev's wards could not only bypass their rivals in the table, but also become the sole leaders of the championship.

Dynamo were preparing for the derby with Loko after an offensive defeat in St. Petersburg - from Zenit (0:2). And before that, the blue and white last lost only at the very start of the season – in the 1st round in Krasnodar (0:1). After that, they gave out a 4-match winning streak, during which they won another capital derby – with Spartak (2:1).

However, the defeat from Zenit in the last round and a long series of failures in the games with Lokomotiv (1 win – 5 losses) seriously spoiled the mood of the Dynamo before the new meeting. However, the blue and white are not used to giving up either.

The teams started the game without a swing and already in the first minutes created several interesting situations at each other's gates. The guests were closer to the goal: after the strike of the railwaywoman, the gate of Arina Taranchenko was saved by the near post. Less than ten minutes later, the red-greens organized two more: first, after a long-range strike, Taranchenko turned out to be in place, and then, after a not very confident game by Valeria Azeeva, Lokomotiv striker Polina Frolova went one-on-one with the goalkeeper and had an absolute chance to open an account. Dynamo was saved again by Arina Taranchenko, who touched the ball with the tip of her foot and sent it to the corner.

The advantage of the current champions of the Youth League was indisputable: the railway women created their moments with enviable constancy, but the dynamics in the first half did not show anything close to a goal. However, as it turned out, both teams postponed their goals for the second half.

Loko and Dynamo started the second half as shockingly as the first. If in the first half our team was saved by Taranchenko and the bar, then in the second the crossbar of the Dynamo gate came into play. It was she who saved the blue and white from a missed ball right after the break.

And immediately after that there was a lull, which was broken in the 75th minute by Ekaterina Sergeeva's goal! The Dynamo striker took advantage of a mistake at the exit of the Loko goalkeeper Anna Berestovitskaya and finally opened an account in this match. I must say, it was somewhat unexpected, given that the advantage for most of the game was still owned by the railway workers.

It's all the more insulting that the joy of our girls' goal didn't last very long: four minutes later, Lokomotiv's striker Kristina Boldyreva used the failure in the Dynamo defense and, left completely alone, shot Arina Taranchenko's goal without interference. In this situation, even our goalkeeper could not do anything.

But it is curious that having quickly missed the return ball, the dynamos did not fall apart, but on the contrary, they began to attack even more and more dangerously and forced Nikolai Kovardaev's team to fight back for the rest of the match. Despite this, the spectacular game did not end as effectively as it could have: the teams exchanged goals, and the score 1:1 did not change.

— Of course, it's a shame that we couldn't keep the victory over the current champion of the Youth League. We scored at the end, and Lokomotiv didn't have much time left to recoup. But, unfortunately, we made one fairly simple mistake and in the end we didn't win this match.

Yes, it is possible and even necessary to attribute such things to the youth of girls. They are not ready-made football players yet, they are just developing, growing, so this happens.

The goals for the season remain the same, we are not removing the task of rising as high as possible and are moving towards this step by step. Plus, preparing girls for the main team does not interfere with one another," Oleg Gusev, the head coach of Dynamo Housing and Communal Services, summed up the draw of the derby with Lokomotiv.

The post-match comment of the defender of the blue and white Anna Chudilina turned out to be no less emotional:

— Despite the fact that a series of mistakes led to a goal in our goal, I think it was one of the best matches of our team this season. All the girls are great fellows, we have done a great job. The match is good, the result is not very good.

Are you happy with yourself in this game? 50/50, could have played better. I understand that you need to improve in your game, first of all, the accuracy of long passes. But there is no limit to perfection, you need to work on yourself and set the highest goals, first of all, to win.

Thus, the status quo in the standings between the teams has been preserved. Loko and Dynamo are still separated by only one point, but for both teams this loss of points turned into a deterioration of the situation at the end of the round. If Dynamo dropped out of the top three, then Lokomotiv lost its lead in the standings, losing it to Krasnodar.

Nevertheless, our team is still only one victory away from a place in the top three. Which can be mined already in the next match.

And the opponent of the blue and white in the next, 9th, round is the women's youth team of the Olympic Reserve School No. 5 "Master-Saturn", which has been based in Yegoryevsk near Moscow since 2022. It was from this year that the team from the Moscow Region started its history of participation in the Youth League, which in the early years of its participation in the tournament performed under a different name – Khimki-UOR No. 5.

For three years, the Moscow Region team showed its best result in the youth championship just last season – it took 8th place, ahead of Dynamo Moscow, among others.

But this season, the team led by Svetlana Eremeeva has every chance to surpass the best result for itself so far. For the match with Dynamo, Master Saturn is on the second line of the standings and already in the next round claims to lead it. To do this, the Moscow Region team needs to at least beat the blue and white at home.

Significant victories at Master Saturn have already happened this season. For example, over Krasnodar (1:0), to which Dynamo lost in the 1st round, Zenit (2:1), to which Dynamo also lost one round back, and finally, over Lokomotiv (2:1), which turned out to be too tough "Dynamo is in the last round before the break. So this weekend we are waiting for a very interesting confrontation.

By the way, about the confrontation – namely about the personal meetings of Dynamo and the club from the Moscow region. If we count the matches with the predecessor of the current "Master Saturn", the Khimki-UOR No. 5 team, then Dynamo youth has already met with the Moscow region club six times: 3 wins on the account of the blue and white, 2 for the Moscow region club and once the teams played a draw, the goal difference is 14-10.

So a small advantage is still for the Dynamo team.

Interestingly, there are three football players in our team who were directly related to the nearest rival: defenders and pupils of the UOR No. 5 "Master Saturn" Ulyana Golovanova (2022-2023) and Kristina Kubatkina (2022-2024), midfielder Aigul Bagautdinova (2022-2023).
