Team status
In the previous round, our team played its second consecutive away match – in Perm against Zvezda-2005. As one might expect, both teams started the game cautiously, not trying to seize the initiative from the first minutes. Moscow Dynamovki were the first to find weak spots in the opponents' defense – they were able to organize several approaches to the Perm gate, Zelka Belovan andJulia Bessolova.
However, if the blue and white were limited only to moments, then the hostesses immediately started with a goal, although it turned out to be curious. In the 18th minute, after a free kick and a headbutt by Olesya Kurochkina, the ball ricocheted off Belovan and went into the Dynamo gate - 0:1.
We must pay tribute to the team of Alexander Katasonov – the unexpected goal did not discourage her, but on the contrary, spurred the activity of our girls. They immediately organized good approaches to the property of Zvezda-2005 and created more than one opportunity to even the score. Here you can note both Bessolova's strike after the pick-up, and a penalty in executionKristina Komissarova, and Isidora Vuchkovich, who was left alone in the center of the penalty area, but failed to dispose of the ball properly. Despite such activity, our team did not manage to recoup before the break, transferring this task to the second half.
The blue and white started the second half in a similar style: they continued to attack, especially since the Dynamo coaching staff strengthened the team's game ahead by replacing Kristina Komissarova with a clean forwardDaniel Basaev. It was the attacker who could finally print the gates of Zvezda 2005 almost immediately after his appearance on the field. That's just her point-blank shot at the cost of a small damage was taken over by the goalkeeper of the Perm club Margarita Shirokova.
Paradoxically, after such an active start, the hostesses took the initiative from the Dynamo team. And again Kurochkina could increase the advantage of her team, and do it twice. At first, the most experienced football player of Zvezda-2005 almost caught Diana Ponomareva at the exit from the gate, but she ruined the moment by sending the ball past the gate. And then, completing a quick counterattack, she struck from a killer position, and only Ponomareva's confident play in the goal saved the blue and white from the second missed goal, which would surely have buried their hopes for at least a draw.
Having received two such clear warnings, Katasonov's wards finally took the ball under their control and forcing the hostesses to cling to their goal more and more often. It's funny that despite such an active game at someone else's goal, the return ball of the blue and white also turned out to be unexpected for everyone. At least, no one expected such a performance from Elena Shesterneva. Shortly before that, the substitute striker received the ball from Anastasia Kovaleva near the opponents' penalty area, turned around, advanced along the line and hit the very "nine" of Margarita Shirokova's goal with the most accurate blow!
Immediately, Dynamo football players tried to build on their success and snatch victory on a difficult road trip: they carried out several good attacks, one of them ended in a violation on a Dynamo player and the appointment of a very dangerous penalty near the gates of Zvezda 2005. Shesterneva, who has already distinguished herself in this match, undertook to execute it – only this time her shot turned out to be not so spectacular, and, most importantly, not as accurate as in that scoring moment.
Again, paying tribute to the opponents, they were also not going to just give up the home game and, as in the previous segments of the match, they again seized the initiative and even managed to arrange a short assault on the Dynamo gates. Fortunately, the Perm team could not repeat its focus with the first goal.
As a result, the combat draw was 1:1, in which any of the teams could have won.

About the opponent
The next opponent of the blue and white is FC Lokomotiv, one of the permanent medalists of the Winline Super League, champion (2021) and three–time winner of the Winline Cup of Russia.
The railway workers interrupted their medal series last season, finishing the championship in 4th place. However, they compensated for this loss by winning the national cup, beating CSKA in the final. In the same season, Elena Fomina's wards risk being left without a trophy and without medals for the first time in their recent history.
They were eliminated from the Russian Cup Winline draw in the semifinals, losing to Zenit St. Petersburg in the sum of two matches, and in the championship they have been conducting a grueling pursuit of the same Zenit for several months. Right now, Lokomotiv takes 4th place in the Winline Super League standings and is five points behind the blue-white-Blues, and in order not to completely drop out of the fight for bronze medals, he simply has to win the next Dynamo match.
The railway workers still have chances even for second place, but they are so illusory that they hardly think about it themselves. Considering how difficult the calendar is at the finish of the season for Fomina's team, taking bronze in such a situation will be akin to a miracle. Judge for yourself: after the game with Dynamo, the red-greens will play with Spartak, Zenit and Wings of the Soviets. It is unlikely that the fact that the last three meetings will be held in Cherkizovo at the Sapsan Arena will greatly facilitate their task.
Their rivals for third place, Zenit St. Petersburg, will have a little in this sense, but it will be easier: he is waiting for a trip to an outsider in Rostov-on-Don, a home game with Zvezda 2005, which almost nothing is needed anymore, and two final meetings that can solve a lot - away from Loko and at home with CSKA.
However, all these layouts are of little interest to Dynamo, which can bury the hopes of railway workers for medals this Friday. Of course, do not forget that blue and white theoretically can even claim the 4th place, which is currently occupied by Lokomotiv. But it will be incredibly difficult to do this, at least due to the calendar of Dynamo itself. Therefore, defending your 5th place will not be the worst result for the blue and white.
By the way, this season the Dynamo team has already beaten Loko in the first round at the RZD Arena. Then Anastasia Kovaleva scored the only goal in the first half and brought the blue and white the second victory over the railwaywomen in the club's history.
Last season, the meeting in Novogorsk ended with a real defeat of Lokomotiv – 3:0! All the authors of the goals against Fomina's team are still in the ranks – Fauzia Nazhemba, Kaylan Williams and Kristina Komissarova.
