Team status

Dynamo Moscow held its previous match in Kazan, where it met with ZHFC Rubin. The main outsider of last season (last place in the championship) before the new meeting with the blue and white was in the standings above Dynamo, two points ahead of our team. For Sergey Lavrentiev's wards, who are applying for a place in the top three in the new season, another loss of points was contraindicated – the leading group represented by Spartak, CSKA and Zenit could come off by more than 10 points.

Therefore, the blue and white took the initiative in their own hands almost from the starting whistle, trying to open an account as soon as possible. It was possible to do this at the end of the first half hour of the game. The newcomer of the team Berivan Ichen, who signed a contract with Dynamo a couple of weeks before the match in Kazan, successfully threw the ball from the central circle to Daniele Basaeva, and she already punched into the far corner – 0:1! By the way, for the Russian, the goal against Rubin was the first in official matches for Dynamo.

But the attacker did not stop there. Without using several advantageous moments herself, Basaeva decided to add an assist to the goal in the first half in the second – at the 74th minute in the fall Daniela pushed the ball into the penalty area, where she picked it up and beat Kazan goalkeeper Angelina Tsirulnikova captain Yulia Bessolova with two touches.

Already in the time compensated by the referee Kristina Sahakyan, the Rubin footballers reduced their lag to a minimum by the efforts of Diana Khakimova and deprived Arina Taranchenko of the dry match, but they no longer had time to recoup and save the match. Despite the final 2:1 in favor of Dynamo, the victory of the blue and white can rightfully be called confident and fair.

Top 3 interesting facts about the match

1+1

Daniela Basaeva scored using the goal + pass system. The Russian striker, who joined our club this winter, scored her debut goal in her fourth match for the blue and white, and also scored an assist, which was her second this season.

1st

The scoring pass in the blue and white team was made by midfielder Berivan Ichen. The Turkish football player signed a contract with Dynamo at the end of March, and the match in Kazan became her debut in a Dynamo T-shirt. She spent 72 minutes on the field.

About the opponent

The opponent of the blue and white in the 6th round of the Super League, the Wings of the Soviets from Samara, has been playing in the top division of Russian women's football since 2023, as has Dynamo. Moreover, the Samara club has passed a similar path to the elite: Like the blue and white, Krylia first made a noise in the Youth League, winning bronze medals in the 2022 season, second only to Lokomotiv and Dynamo, and the very next season they began their performances in the Super League.

However, here the comparisons of the two teams become irrelevant. The debut season in the top league was a real test for the Volga women. The young team led by Alexander Tsygankov was clearly uncomfortable in the Super League: only one win in 27 games, 4 draws, 22 defeats, the worst goal difference in the league is 7-88, and as a result, the last place in the table is 5 points behind the nearest opponent.

Samara fans were slightly comforted by the performance of the team in the Russian Cup – Volzhanki defeated Pari NN in 1/16 (3:0), and lost to Rostov in 1/8 with a minimum score (0:1).

Last season turned out to be a little more successful, although it is extremely difficult to call it successful: first, under the leadership of Vasily Marunyak, and then Alexander Mikhnovets, who replaced him during the championship, the Samara team won 3 victories and drew 9 times, gaining a total of 18 points, which allowed it to finally break away from the bottom and take the penultimate, 12the, a place in the Super League standings. We were ahead by as much as 10 points of Rubin Kazan, by the way, our opponent in the last round. But according to one indicator, Krylia Sovetov still became the worst team in the championship - they scored only 13 goals in 24 matches, no one scored less last season, not even the same Rubin (he had 18 goals).

But this season the team from the banks of the Volga is rewriting its own club records: in the five opening matches, the Samaritans have already scored 8 points and right now occupy a record 4th place in the standings, second only to the grandees - Spartak, CSKA and Zenit!

The wards of 50-year-old Dmitry Voetsky, who took over the post of Krylia head coach in the offseason, started the season with two draws – sensationally did not lose to Zenit in St. Petersburg (0:0), and in Kazan they won back at the very end of the match with Rubin (1:1). And then they even gave out a winning streak of two home victories – over Ryazan-Airborne Forces and Chertanovo (both times 1:0).

And if it were not for the minimal defeat in the third consecutive home meeting with Zvezda-2005 (0:1), then before the meeting with Dynamo, the Volzhanki could even claim an intermediate place in the top 3 of the championship, which, of course, would be a historic achievement for the Wings.

In many ways, this success is due to the replenishment that the Volga club received this offseason: players such as Lyubov Kipyatkova (Zenit) and Oksana Yeremeyeva, well-known for their performances for Winline Super League clubs, came to Samara, Alyona Kovtun, Natalia Osipova, Anastasia Shvedova (all - Zvezda-2005), Asya Turieva (ex-captain and long-term leader of Rostov), football players from the Serbian championship Nikolina Milovic, Nina Chavich (both - Crvena Zvezda) and Maria Vukovich (Radnichki), Belarusian Nadezhda Voskobovich from the titled "Minsk". And, of course, Svetlana Eliseeva and Tiyana Matic, well-known fans of the Moscow Dynamo, who played for the blue and white last season. And if Svetlana is still getting used to her new team (she played one match against Zenit), then Tiyana is already becoming one of the leaders of the Samara club – she took part in all 5 matches of the season, gave an assist, received one yellow card. It is possible that both players will enter the familiar Novogorskoye field this Saturday and play against their former team.

However, the fairy tale in which the team found itself at the start of the season may end very soon. Ahead of the Wings is a series of matches with teams that will be as difficult as possible to take points from: next Saturday in Novogorsk with Dynamo, which the Volga girls have never won, and then they are waiting for checks from Spartak (at home) and CSKA (away).

Achievements: bronze medals of the First League (2021) and Youth League (2022), 1/4 finals of the Cup of Russia (2024).
