Team status
In the previous match, the capital's Dynamo hosted Zenit St. Petersburg, the leader of the Youth League standings, in Novogorsk. From the first minutes on the field, a double-edged struggle ensued. The teams quickly exchanged moments: already in the 5th minute, the blue-and-white striker Ekaterina Sergeeva was just barely enough to hit the goal. The guests responded in the 8th minute with a dangerous penalty, but they shot well above the target.
Soon, the Petersburgers created the first truly scoring moment: Yulia Udovichenko struck a solid blow from outside the penalty area, but Dynamo goalkeeper Arina Taranchenko reacted brilliantly, and the defenders took the ball out in time.
By the end of the 10th minute, the territorial advantage had passed to the rivals. Our team deliberately gave the ball away, betting on dagger counterattacks. In the 13th minute, it got hot again at our goal: Anastasia Gnennaya technically beat the defenders on the edge of the penalty area and struck from an acute angle - Taranchenko transferred the ball to the corner. Unfortunately, it was this standard that became effective. At the 14th minute, Arina made a mistake on the way out, there was a commotion in the penalty area, in which the guests' midfielder Anastasia Vanina pushed the ball into the net.
The missed goal became an excellent irritant for Dynamo. Literally three minutes later, Sergeeva fell out one-on-one, but could not beat goalkeeper Daria Selikhova. Next, she also shot with a free kick – the ball passed by. The guests noticeably slowed down the pace, and Dynamo produced a phenomenal segment. At the 30th minute, Alisa Klimova performed a magnificent serve to Eva Rabchenyuk, who gracefully threw Selikhova out of the gate — 1:1!
And five minutes later, the blue and white came forward. Sergeeva again ran away to a rendezvous with the goalkeeper, Selikhova parried the blow, but Daria Guskova was on the rebound, literally driving the ball under the crossbar — 2:1! At the end of the half, defender Tatyana Chetvertnykh received a yellow card for a foul at her penalty box, but the anger struck higher. The end of the half was completely reserved for Dynamo.
The second half of the meeting started with the attacks of our team, but by the 55th minute the game had leveled off. At the end of the hour of the game, Rabchenyuk dangerously executed a free kick, but took it just above the target. After that, Zenit began to seriously snap back, delivering two solid blows, and in the 64th minute the goal frame played for us - the ball after Daria Kotlova's shot shook the crossbar. The Petersburgers turned on high pressure, but the impeccable actions of our defense nullified all the efforts of the guests.
In the 80th minute, the coaches made a series of substitutions. Soon all questions about the winner could be removed: Sergeeva was again eager one-on-one, but the defenders managed to catch up with her. In the 85th minute, Arina Taranchenko made the stands nervous - after a dangerous blow to the center, she hit the ball in front of her, but on the second attempt she reliably covered it. The last minutes turned into a classic bulk. In compensated time, a guest player fell in our penalty area, but the referee rightly did not find a reason for a penalty.
The result is a strong—willed victory of the blue and white 2:1!
— Strength is not in blind rage, but in order, discipline and support of each other. The girls have completely completed the installation, I am proud of them! The rivals scored a goal and from the 14th minute they began to guard it, went into a low block. It was a big mistake, we had moments between the lines.
In the end, we did not plan to go on the defensive, but with a good score, the players themselves wanted to be safe and gave the initiative. Thanks to our defense, there was only one mechanism on the field today," Alexander Zayakin, acting head coach of the Dynamo youth team, commented on the results of the match.
But this is the view of the game that Milena Lyubimova, the blue and white striker, had right after the final whistle:
— Today we fought for each other, we were one team. Before the match, they knew that Zenit was in first place, but they did not doubt their victory. When we conceded the first goal, there was not a single thought that we would lose. I dedicate this victory to the team! And thanks to the fans for their support.
Strong-willed success allowed our team to score the most important three points. Now the championship takes a two-week break for the national team games, and the girls got four days to rest. Dynamo has a tough test ahead and a game for six points.
About the opponent, the history of the confrontation, the judging panel
The opponent of the blue and white in the 22nd round is the youth team of the CSKA Football Club – the new leader of the Youth League table, who took this place after the defeat of Zenit in the match with Dynamo.
By the way, the army club has been single-handedly leading the championship race in the youth championship for several rounds, but has lost all its advantage in points and is now fighting a very tight battle for leadership with four other clubs at once. From the first place, which is now occupied by the red and blue, to the fifth, which is now shared by Rubin Kazan and Zenit St. Petersburg, there are only three points! Spartak Moscow (2 points) and Lokomotiv Moscow (1 point) are also breathing into the back of the head of the army.
And Dynamo, in principle, is not so far away – the teams share 7 points, which is why the upcoming one will probably be the last chance for the blue and white: in case of a loss, it will be possible to say goodbye to the championship chances.
From the main thing: CSKA is in third place both in terms of goals scored (60), more only for Spartak (70) and Lokomotiv (80), and for missed goals – 21, less only for Lokomotiv (17) and Spartak with Zenit (15 each). Interestingly, with such performance, there is not a single army football player in the top 10 best scorers of the season: the main sniper of CSKA in 2026, Valeria Menyailova, scored 9 goals in 20 matches. At the same time, the red and blue have a very even distribution of scoring: Valeria Bylichkina and Maya Chizhevskaya have 8 goals each, Kristina Perminova has 7, and Kristina Kutafina has 6.
But here's the thing. Having issued a super series of 12 wins, one draw and only one defeat in 14 matches, Dmitry Kozlov's wards have been experiencing a noticeable decline in both the game and the results since the end of August: out of 7 matches played, they won three, drew once and lost three times. All this noticeably spoiled the team's statistics, and most importantly, the confident leadership of CSKA in the Youth League. If the army club had played a little more stable, there was no championship intrigue this season.
And so a whole train of teams is claiming the championship right now – both the top 5 and Dynamo and Krasnodar lagging behind the peloton.
With Dynamo, by the way, CSKA gave out one of their best matches this season. Having missed from Ekaterina Sergeeva already in the 15th minute, the army team did not fall apart and in the second half, after the break, they quickly turned the game around, scoring twice, and at the end of the match secured a confident victory with the third goal - 3:1.
Actually, it was this victory of CSKA that established complete equality in personal meetings: now the teams have 5 victories over each other. Whether one of the teams will break out ahead in the history of the confrontation or equality will remain, we will find out this Sunday evening.
The new meeting within the framework of the Youth League will be served by the judging panel headed by Anna Tepaeva (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk), who will be assisted by assistant judges Victoria Guardis (Moscow) and Anna Sycheva (Kirov).
Tepaeva has previously worked on Dynamo matches: in the Youth League – against Krylia Sovetov (2:1) and CSKA (1:3).
The balance of Dynamo victories and defeats under the refereeing of Tepaeva: 2 matches – 1 victory, 1 defeat, goal difference 3-4.
