The Dynamo youth team beat Rubin and secured the Youth League medals!

The super important match for the blue and white in Kazan was held in not the most football weather, very typical for this time in the Volga region: a strong cold wind, drizzle, turning into unpleasant rain. However, no external circumstances should have prevented our girls from taking the victory in the game with one of the outsiders of the season.

If only because, under certain circumstances, after this match, the blue and white could secure at least bronze medals.

Whether this factor put pressure on the Dynamo team or Rubin itself turned out to be a difficult opponent in this game, but the meeting in Kazan was one of the most difficult for it this season. This, by the way, was confirmed by the Dynamo players themselves after the final whistle.

To begin with, Oleg Gusev's wards carried out one of the first attacks only in the 17th minute of the match. Before that, the Rubin players had the full advantage and simply did not let their opponents out to their own half of the field, while they themselves attacked well and could open an account at some point. The hostesses used mistakes and marriage in the game of Dynamo players, and only the impeccable game of the goalkeeper of the blue and white Arina Taranchenko did not allow this to happen.

Only by the middle of the first half did the Muscovites manage to calm down the game and finally make some good attacks. First, Varvara Demidova got a great opportunity and dangerously shot into the near corner – the goalkeeper of Rubin, Yesenia Eremeeva, helped out. Then Svetlana Vinnikova, in a fight with the defender of the Kazan team, seized the moment and hit hard from under the player - but this time the ball went above the goal.

They could have paid for such wastefulness of Dynamo, when in the 38th minute Rubin's next bulk almost ended with a goal against Taranchenko: the fuss in the Dynamo penalty area and a series of ricochets led to the fact that one of the Kazan football players picked up the ball and punched it almost point blank. Fortunately, the next hit to the Dynamo defender averted the threat – the ball left the Dynamo penalty area on the way to the goal net after a ricochet.

And then, finally, fortune smiled on our team, perhaps at the most opportune moment. Already in the time added to the first half, the ball, after Demidova's submission, found Ekaterina Sergeeva in the Rubin penalty area, she handled the ball in the fight with the defender and managed to push it to the left, where Irina Dricheva was already waiting for him. The midfielder, without further thought, punched and sent the ball under the crossbar of the goal of Yeremeyeva – 1:0! The most important goal, which remained the only one in the match and brought Oleg Gusev's team medals of the Youth League!

Immediately, Kazan football players could even the score – Lyali Kholmatova's most dangerous blow was neutralized by Arina Taranchenko, another heroine of the meeting as part of Dynamo.

The second half was filled not so much with goals and dangerous moments, but with nerves and constant tension at the gates of the Moscow team. The game seemed to take place in a calm channel, but at any moment this calmness could be disturbed by another counterattack of the home team and a missed ball, which in turn could be the only one in such a game.

However, it is no coincidence that the Dynamo youth team this season claimed the highest award of the youth championship in order not to be able to keep such a necessary advantage for themselves. And she did it, having won such an important victory, which three years later brought them medals of the Youth League!
