The head coach of the Dynamo Football Club answered questions immediately after the end of his first official match at the head of the club, in which the blue and white lost to Zenit St. Petersburg (0:2).
— Frankly, the first half surprised a little. Somehow we came out too timidly, made quite gross mistakes. But I am completely satisfied with the second half. The girls showed themselves well, created scoring chances, and generally looked convincing. We couldn't score, but we could have won back the game.
So in this respect, the times turned out to be very different.
It is clear that there are a lot of young people in the team, a lot of players who need time to adapt. Perhaps, in the first half it was also affected by the fact that Zenit had already played the first official match, and we had just started.
Of course, we are waiting for the return of our experienced players – Nadezhda Koltakova, Kristina Komissarova, who received minor injuries right before the game. To some extent, they were not enough in this match either.
Nevertheless, I want to praise the girls for the second half, I am very proud of them. We continue our movement further, in fact, we just need time to adjust all the nuances and show the football that we showed today in the second half, only with realized scoring episodes.
