The head coach of the Dynamo football Club answered questions about the results of the match with Lokomotiv (0:1).
— We got a lot of what we planned. Maybe somewhere we lacked sharpness in attack, but we were up against a serious and organized opponent who shows a balanced game both in attack and defense.
We didn't deserve to lose today by any means. We shouldn't have lost, but unfortunately, an unclear and obvious episode happened in the game. With such a game, a rather strange decision. In general, there was a team on the field today, a united team, all the players were for each other, it was felt. The girls played selflessly – in martial arts, at certain moments both in defense and in attack.
So the opponent didn't surpass us in anything special, maybe he was sharper in some moments, but I have no complaints about any of my players in terms of content. We have young football players who, at the age of 16-17, demonstrate such a meaningful and adult game. The team is beginning to gradually grasp those moments that are really necessary in order to progress further.
So I'm happy with my team, it showed its best side.
— In the first half, Lokomotiv had more chances, but in the second half your team came out and created two dangerous moments at once. What was not enough to implement them?
— Calm decisions necessary to implement such moments. With such rivals as Lokomotiv, Spartak, Zenit, there may not be many of these moments, so they need to be implemented.
There was not enough performing skills and calm decisions in such situations.
— So far the team has two wins this season. Is the next game with Yenisei a good chance to score points?
— Any game we have is a good chance to score points. Today was also a good chance to do it. If we don't take the penalty shootout episode, we should have scored them today. We will also prepare for Yenisei with all seriousness, do not underestimate this team, as well as any opponent.
We had a difficult start to the season with strong opponents, but today we had a completely different content of the game, the team just has to continue to work calmly.
