Maxim Zinoviev: "They should not have left the field without a goal"

— We had a goal for a long time, although there were plenty of episodes, all we lacked was accuracy and execution, skill in the final stage. But, in fact, based on the logic and the course of the game, we should not have left the field today without a goal. The girls did well, kept active and mobile until the last minutes, in fact, forced the opponent to make a gross mistake. This is entirely their merit! Good physical fitness also played a role here.

I can't say that someone didn't try, everyone did what was necessary, which we played for this match both offensively and defensively. Without too much fuss, without forcing, we calmly brought the game to the end and believed that we would still score and achieve victory. I repeat – the only thing missing was accuracy in the opponent's penalty area.

Why did they make a reverse replacement for Vuchkovich? It happens that Isidora didn't get into the match today for some reason. It was necessary to refresh the game somehow, and Berivan is just one of those players who, with her individual actions, can both strike a good shot from an average distance and earn a penalty. Therefore, it is not the case here that Vuckovic did something wrong, she is a very diligent player and is very scrupulous about her game. It is clear that she is upset now, we will definitely sort out some points with her, as we were counting on a few other actions on her part. But there are no global claims to it either in terms of work or in relation to business. This is football, working moments that happen to everyone.

Anna Sas returned to the field today, who needs to be given game practice. We try to bring her to the game so that she adapts as quickly as possible and catches a certain rhythm of the game. We are counting on her as a player of the main clip. I am sure Anya will find her condition and we will help us in the near future.

As for the next meeting with Lokomotiv, we respect all rivals, regardless of which place they occupy in the table. It was not easy with Rubin today either. It is clear that Lokomotiv, which is higher than us, a masterful team that has just played in the final of the Russian Cup, has high-class players, so it will be an interesting match. And we always set ourselves up only for victory and we will seriously prepare for the game.
