The midfielder of ZHFC "Dynamo" told about her career in professional football and how the perception of women in sports has changed during this time.
On March 5, a "Forum in a big City" was held on the VK Video platform, which was attended by leading experts, entrepreneurs and sports representatives.
One of the participants in the discussion "About non-feminine professions" was the midfielder of the Housing and Communal Complex "Dynamo" Isidora Vuchkovich. The Serbian blue-and-white footballer shared her experience of overcoming career barriers and told about her path in professional sports.
During her speech, Isidora Vuchkovich noted that her path to professional status took 10 years. She stressed that at the beginning of her career she had to deal with misunderstandings from society, but over time the attitude towards women in football has changed.
"At first there was a lot of prejudice, as women's football was not popular. People thought I was training just for the sake of training. But now, when I joined a professional team, people look at me with different eyes," the footballer said.
Despite the difficulties, Vuckovich stressed that she had never had a desire to leave the sport, as she had always been guided by her love of football.
Isidora also touched upon the topic of personal growth. According to her, professional sports became a school of endurance for her and helped to form a stable personality.
"My profession has strengthened my character. I have become stronger emotionally, physically and psychologically," said the Dynamo midfielder.
Answering questions about the inner life of the club, Vuchkovic described the blue and white team as a cohesive team with the right approach to business. She highlighted the importance of mutual assistance among the players.
"There is a healthy competition in my team. If someone does not play in the first team, he tries to work even harder. There is always support, and we always play for each other," said Isidora.
The footballer also mentioned the technical aspects of the athlete's life, including recovery after matches: taking vitamins and carbohydrates, visiting the sauna, pool and massage.
Together with Vuchkovich, pilot Irina Sidorkova, aircraft commander Maria Pyatkova and conductor Victoria Dobrovolskaya participated in the discussion about "non-feminine" professions. In total, the forum brought together more than 100 speakers, including Eteri Tutberidze, Ida Galich and Svetlana Bondarchuk.
The broadcast of the event took place in the official community of the forum in VKontakte.
