The project, implemented on the initiative of the VTB Arena and Dynamo Museum teams, is aimed at preserving and popularizing the rich sporting heritage of the legendary site, which has been home to our football club for almost 100 years.
The reconstruction of the historical grandstand took place with the active participation of Dynamo FC fans and is part of a comprehensive effort to preserve the historical memory of the Dynamo Society and the development of modern museum formats combining cultural, sports and educational space.
The grand opening ceremony, held on April 19, was attended by Stanislav Kovalev, General Director of VTB Arena and Dynamo Museum, Pavel Pivovarov, General Director of Dynamo FC, Tatyana Chernaya, General Director of Dynamo Housing and Communal Services, Anatoly Gulevsky, Chairman of Dynamo Society, Roman Rotenberg, member of the Board of Directors of Dynamo HC and the general director of HC "Dynamo" Sergey Sushko.
The historical grandstand is a unique exposition object that allows you to visually trace the evolution of the spectator infrastructure of the stadium.
The exposition is divided into three thematic blocks, each of which presents original or recreated samples of spectator seats from different periods of the stadium's history – the 1920s, 1960s and 2000s.
Visitors will be able to see how architectural solutions, materials and approaches to the comfort of fans have changed in different eras.
— The history of the club is the foundation on which we are building the future. The opening of the Historic Grandstand at VTB Arena, especially on the Dynamo Museum's birthday, is an important step in preserving the heritage and at the same time a source of inspiration for new generations of players and fans.
I am glad that Dynamo has become a part of this great cause, and I am sure that the Historic Grandstand will become an important point of attraction for fans, players and everyone who appreciates the history of our club.
