"Dynamo" is inferior to "Wings of the Soviets" and leaves the Winline Cup of Russia

A zero draw with Ryazan-Airborne Forces in the last round summed up the first round for the blue and white, who finished it in seventh place and went on a three-week break in the championship in the status of the middle man of the standings.

Despite the not very positive mood after the game in Ryazan, our girls did not waste time in vain. On June 27, for example, we played a friendly match with the Russian national team, which can be classified as a friendly only by its unofficial status. And so it was, of course, from the category of a game of increased complexity and increased motivation. For Dynamo football players, first of all. But, by the way, not only. After all, Kristina Komissarova was called up to the national team under the leadership of Yuri Krasnozhan, who for the first time in the last four years had to play against Dynamo.

Despite a major defeat (0:3), the game can in any case be credited with a blue and white asset. It's not every day that you get a chance to fight with the best Russian football players gathered in one team.

Another not–so-obvious plus is the pause that came after the end of the first round, and the friendly meeting with the Russian national team - the players were able to take a little break from the battles in the Winline Super League and at the same time switch to another tournament with a completely different format and rhythm of performances.

And here it is interesting to note that for the first time in three years of Dynamo's participation in the Russian Cup draw, already in the first round, our team got the Super League club – the Krylia Sovetov Housing and Communal Services from Samara. In previous seasons, the blue and white did not experience any special problems at the start of the tournament: in 2022 they defeated Strogino away (11:1) and this victory still remains the largest in the history of Dynamo in official games, in 2023 - again, they beat Tambov Academy heavily away. football" (6:1). Obviously, it will be problematic to repeat something like this with the Wings in Samara.

Moreover, Dynamo and Krylia Sovetov have already met this season, as part of the Winline Super League, and that meeting in Novogorsk did not bring anything good to the blue and white. Not only did the Dynamos lose (1:2), but a few days after this defeat they lost their long-term coach Sergei Lavrentiev. However, this is a completely different story, but as they say, there is a notch in memory.

And then there was the situation when none of the teams had the right to make a mistake – defeat automatically meant relegation from the tournament already in the first round. So, whatever one may say, but this game was fraught with a lot of intrigues.

However, everything did not go according to Dynamo's plan not only from the beginning of the meeting in Samara, but even earlier – before arriving in this distinctive Volga city. The day before, the blue and white spent 9 hours at Sheremetyevo airport due to constant delays in the flight to Samara. As a result, the plane took off only closer to midnight, respectively, the team arrived and checked into the hotel late at night. There was no question of any training before the match itself, there would be time to get some sleep and at least recover a little.

As the game showed, it was apparently not fully possible to do this. The whole first half, Alexander Katasonov's team, as it seemed, simply overslept without creating a single more or less dangerous moment. Except that at the very end of it, Kaylan Williams, after the submission of Kristina Komissarova, could unexpectedly open an account for everyone, but her not too accentuated shot on target of the Wings did not reach the goal.

But the "Wings", despite the rather mixed composition compared to the matches in the championship, looked, though not much, but still more interesting than the Dynamo team. They created their first moment already in the 3rd minute, and then they had a couple more good chances to open the account. But both Krylia and Dynamo played carefully in the first half on purpose, as if saving their strength for the second half. And if this feeling was fully justified in relation to the housewives, then our girls, unfortunately, did not wake up.

The Dynamo coaching staff tried to do this in every possible way: there was an early substitution of Anna Sas for Elena Shesterneva in the 20th minute, and a double substitution during the break, when Anastasia Kovaleva and Berivan Ichen came out instead of Komissarova and Williams. However, this did not help much either. Up to the 70th minute, nothing more interesting than the unexpected appearance of a large rodent on the lawn of the Samara Metallurg stadium in the game never happened…

But then just everything started spinning. Unfortunately for our team, not in its favor. If in the 70th minute Maria Vukovic, who came on as a substitute, felt sorry for Dynamo, almost not reaching the ball after serving from the right flank, then literally a minute later the Serbian performed everything perfectly. With an accurate shot almost on the penalty line, Vukovich sent the ball into the bottom corner of Diana Ponomareva's goal and opened an unassailable score until then.

A joyful event for Dynamo, when Fauzia Nazhemba appeared on the field for the 79th minute for the first time since last year, was overshadowed after a couple of minutes. The Samara team carried out an exemplary attack, which Anastasia Shvedova logically completed, putting the blue and white on the brink of a cup disaster.

The blue and white had 10 minutes left to cancel this disaster, but... our girls never came up with anything more interesting than long-range and not the most prepared shots at Sofia Prokopieva's goal.

As a result – 0:2 and early departure from the Winline of the Cup of Russia after the first match. The event, which became the first in the history of the Housing and Communal Complex "Dynamo". Until that day, the blue and white always did it as confidently as possible.
