After two defeats from the Samara team, the blue and white were unable to take revenge in the third match of this season (1:4).
How unpredictable football life is after all - until recently, the season for Dynamo could have been considered a failure or, at least, lost. 9th place in the championship, relegation from the Winline Cup of Russia at the very first stage (by the way, from the Wings of the Soviets, with whom the blue and white met today already in the framework of the Winline Super League), painful defeats in the derby from Chertanovo, Spartak and CSKA – it seemed to be waiting for this season Dynamo fans have nothing left.
But first, a victory over Zenit (1-0), and then success in the game with Krasnodar with the same score – and now the team led by Alexander Katasonov claims the best result in the history of its performances at the highest level. Recall that the last two seasons Dynamo finished in 5th place in the Winline Super League standings.
Yes, of course, to be realistic, our team can no longer reach the super result in the form of a fight for medals – the gap from the same Zenit, which is now in 3rd place, is already 18 points. The Dynamo team has 8 matches left to play this season, and theoretically the blue and white have chances even for the championship (20 points to CSKA), but objectively it looks like some absolutely fantastic task.
But to compete for the 4th place is quite realistic. Dynamo is separated from Lokomotiv, which is fourth, by 5 points – not the biggest gap, you will agree. Considering that in these remaining 8 matches the blue and white will have to play only with two top clubs - CSKA and Lokomotiv - the task does not look so impossible.
And here the ability to collect your points with teams of equal level and outsiders, of course, comes to the fore. Krylia Sovetov is a team not just equal to Dynamo this season, but the most inconvenient opponent for the blue and white. This year they lost both of their matches to Volzhankam – both in the championship (at home) and in the cup (away). Considering that until 2025 dynamovka did not lose to Samarka at all, to stumble in the third match in a row is just some kind of anomaly.
But statistics is one thing, but the game is quite another. All the calculations and, most importantly, the game plan of the coaching staff of the blue and white brought down the goal of the Samara team already in the 2nd minute of the meeting. But in this, and in the rest of the missed balls, you can only blame yourself. Maria Galai and Nadezhda Koltakova missed their players, which was used as a result by the forward of the Samara team Anastasia Chirich, who opened the account.
The blue and white could have equalized immediately, but football luck this Saturday was clearly not on the side of our team. Kristina Komissarova sent the ball into the Samara goal twice: first, the Dynamo midfielder twisted the "dry sheet" from the corner, but the ball slipped past the far post, and then she also from the penalty line just under the crossbar, but then Krylia goalkeeper Kristina Fedorova entered the game, who pulled out a heavy ball and transferred it to the corner.
Well, after such a bright flash of the Dynamo team, everything for her began to add up frankly badly. In the 32nd minute, Dynamo captain Yulia Bessolova, celebrating her birthday today, fouled in the penalty area, and the main referee of the match Nadezhda Gorinova pointed to the dot. Diana Ponomareva gave the last hope for a successful outcome of the trip to Samara, repelling a simple blow from Tiyana Matic. But…
The end of the first half buried this hope. First, after a not very obvious game with Zelka's hand, Belovan Gorinova put in a second penalty, and this time it was realized by Sofia Shishkina. Well, just a couple of minutes later, the same Shishkina distinguished herself from the game – after a great combination of Samara football players, who again left the Dynamo defense out of business.
If Dynamo fans had any hopes of salvation, they had to say goodbye to them quickly after the break. In the 57th minute, the Samaritans who played a cool combination again sent the fourth ball to Ponomareva's goal. In the final stage, Valeria Solodukhina just had to put her foot up and send the ball into an empty net.
And yet dynamovki won back one ball! Under the strong transfer of Elena Shesterneva to the penalty area, Zelka Belovan successfully put her foot in and reduced the crushing score. It happened in the 61st minute of the meeting and it seemed that there was still enough time to close the score.
Moreover, the blue and white really played for the second goal. The crossbars after the blows of Anastasia Shlapakova and Berivan Ichen clearly indicate this. But football, like some other things in our life, do not tolerate the subjunctive mood, and therefore the ball of the Dynamo central defender closed the scoring program of the Samara match.
As well as the history of the matches of Dynamo and Krylia this season. All three were won by the Samara club, and Muscovites can only hope for a rematch next year.
