In 2021-2024 he worked as the head coach of the youth team of the WFC Lokomotiv (Moscow), with which he won gold medals of the Youth League (2022).
During his playing career, he played for the clubs Dynamo Bryansk (2007-2008), Yelets (2008-2010), Krasnodar (2010-2011).
Graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Physical Education (specializing in Football, 2011), the Academy of Coaching Skills of the Russian State University of Physical Culture (2014, 2020).
Since 2012, he has been involved in coaching: he worked at FC Khimki (2012-2015), the CSKA Children's and Youth Football Academy (2016-2020), and the Lokomotiv Women's Football Club (2020-2024). In the 2022 season, the youth team of the Lokomotiv Women's Football Club, under his leadership, won gold medals in the Youth League. Has coaching licenses: C-UEFA (2022), B-UEFA (2023), B-UEFA Youth (2024), A-UEFA (2025).
More than 30 of Zayakin's students play for Super League clubs, Youth League and Russian national teams of different ages.
